There are two fingerboard marking products: Don’t Fret® and First Frets. They are stickers that can be applied to the fingerboard of violins, violas, and cellos. They are made from durable transparent vinyl and can be easily removed without leaving any residue.

The stickers are printed with colored lines that correspond to the exact fingerings on the instrument. They replace adhesive dots, tapes, and other markers. Compared to other similar products, Don’t Fret® and First Frets stand out for their accuracy. Additionally, they do not slip, wear out, or cause unwanted noise.

  • First Frets features 4 lines that indicate the most common fingerings for beginners.
  • Don’t Fret® features 12 lines that indicate the entire chromatic scale for one octave.
