Coming from Mi 9 Lite which I was quite satisfied with, I was looking for reviews to buy a new phone, with Redmi Note 12 Pro being very close to the features I desire. All the reviews I saw had positive comments, presenting it as a value for money midrange phone (e.g. GsmArena, NotebookCheck, DxoMark, LaurentWillen). However, I also saw some negative reviews here on Skroutz mainly regarding the battery and the signal. I have had the phone for a week and my experience is as follows:
The usage I do is about one hour of YouTube, one hour of browsing-social, 15 to 30 minutes of calls, and a few photos.
The settings I have made are:
- Disable 5G
- Disable msa service (MIUI System Ads)
- Disable Feedback service
- Disable Updater service
- Disable Auto-Sync (I only open it once a week, I don't use Auto-Sync on photos and videos)
- Disable Usage and diagnostics
- Disable Google Assistant
- Disable NFC and Location (I only open them when I need them)
- Default Refresh Rate enabled - 120Hz dynamically (the user experience is very smooth with 120Hz enabled, in my opinion it's not worth running the screen at 60Hz)
With these specific settings and the usage I do, the battery life is quite satisfactory, easily lasting one and a half days (I charge it to 80% and use it until 25%). I have chosen to charge it with a 33W Xiaomi charger and not with the 67W one that comes with it, which I only use when I'm in a hurry.
As for the signal quality of the phone, I was worried by the comments of some who reported problems with it and did some tests. As a comparison measure, I have two other phones at home, a Redmi 9A and a Realme C3. So I compared the signal strength of all three phones in various points of the house and the Redmi Note 12 Pro is not inferior to the other two phones anywhere. Specifically, its signal strength was between -102dBm and -113dBm, values that as I saw on the internet are normal for indoors. Outside the house, the signal is even stronger and practically excellent (you can check the signal strength in Settings - About phone - Detailed info and specs - Status - SIM status or by installing a relevant application from the Play Store). As for the wifi, it didn't present any problems, being fast and stable.

In conclusion, I am satisfied with the purchase. I have had the phone for 1 week so I will come back if needed.
Προερχόμενος από Mi 9 Lite από το οποίο έμεινα αρκετά ικανοποιημένος, κοιτούσα παρουσιάσεις για αγορά νέου κινητού, με το Redmi Note 12 Pro να είναι πολύ κοντά στα χαρακτηριστικά που επιθυμώ. Όλα τα reviews που είδα είχαν θετικά σχόλια, παρουσιάζοντάς το ως ένα value for money midrange κινητό (π.χ. GsmArena, NotebookCheck, DxoMark, LaurentWillen). Ταυτόχρονα όμως είδα και κάποιες αρνητικές κριτικές εδώ στο Skroutz κυρίως ως προς την μπαταρία και το σήμα του. Έχω το κινητό μία εβδομάδα και η εμπειρία μου είναι η εξής:
Η χρήση που κάνω είναι περίπου μία ώρα youtube, μία ώρα browsing-social, 15 με 30 λεπτά κλήσεις και μερικές φωτογραφίες.
Οι ρυθμίσεις που έχω κάνει είναι:
- Απενεργοποίηση 5G
- Απενεργοποίηση υπηρεσίας msa (MIUI System Ads)
- Απενεργοποίηση υπηρεσίας Feedback
- Απενεργοποίηση υπηρεσίας Updater
- Απενεργοποίση Auto-Sync (το ανοίγω μόνο μια φορά την εβδομάδα, δεν χρησιμοποιώ Auto-Sync σε φωτογραφίες και βίντεο)
- Απενεργοποίηση Usage and diagnostics
- Απενεργοποίση Google Assistant
- Απενεργοποίση NFC και Location (τα ανοίγω μόνο όταν τα χρειάζομαι)
- Ενεργοποιημένο Default Refresh Rate - 120Hz dynamically (η εμπειρία χρήσης είναι πολύ ομαλή με ενεργοποιημένα τα 120Hz, κατά την γνώμη μου δεν αξίζει να λειτουργώ την οθόνη στα 60Hz)
Με τις συγκεκριμένες ρυθμίσεις και με την χρήση που κάνω, η αντοχή της μπαταρίας είναι αρκετά ικανοποιητική, κρατώντας άνετα μιάμιση ημέρα (το φορτίζω ως 80% και το χρησιμοποιώ ως 25%). Την φόρτιση έχω διαλέξει να την κάνω με έναν 33W Χiaomi φορτιστή και όχι με τον 67W που συνοδεύεται, τον οποίο χρησιμοποιώ μόνο όταν βιάζομαι πολύ.
Όσον αφορά την ποιότητα σήματος του κινητού, είχα θορυβηθεί από τα σχόλια ορισμένων που ανέφεραν προβλήματα για αυτό και έκανα μερικές δοκιμές. Σαν μέτρο σύγκρισης έχω δύο άλλα κινητά που βρίσκονται στο σπίτι, ένα Redmi 9A και ένα Realme C3. Συνέκρινα λοιπόν την ισχύ του σήματός τους σε δίαφορα σημεία του σπιτιού και το Redmi Note 12 Pro δεν υπολείπεται κάπου σε σχέση με τα δύο άλλα κινητά. Συγκεκριμένα η ισχύς του σήματός του ήταν μεταξύ -102dBm και -113dBm, τιμές που όπως είδα στο διαδίκτυο είναι φυσιολογικές για μέσα στο σπίτι. Έξω απο το σπίτι το σήμα ενισχύεται ακόμη περισσότερο και πρακτικά είναι άριστο (μπορείτε να ελέγξετε την ισχύ σήματος στα Settings - About phone - Detailed info and specs - Status - SIM status ή εγκαθιστώντας σχετική εφαρμογή απο το Play Store). Όσο για το wifi δεν μου παρουσίασε κάποιο πρόβλημα, όντας γρήγορο και σταθερό.

Συμπερασματικά είμαι ευχαριστημένος με την αγορά. Το κινητό το έχω 1 εβδομάδα οπότε θα επανέλθω αν χρειαστεί.
