The MΕΛΟΣ rosin has been tested and successfully works under any conditions for every instrument. It is produced for each instrument in two different types: the "light" and the "dark".

• The "light" rosin is used more for high ambient temperatures (spring or summer), offering softer playing or for solos in chamber music.
• The "dark" rosin is used more for lower ambient temperatures (autumn or winter), providing a "full" sound, suitable for orchestra or for solos in large concerts.

For Greek string instruments, such as the Pontic, Cretan, and Politician lyra, two types of rosin are also produced: "light" and "dark". The "light" offers a more "gentle" sound, while the "dark" offers a "stronger" one. The "light" is recommended for the Politician lyra and the "dark" for the Cretan.
