The A2 Student Book is part of the bilingual series for learning Modern Greek as a second/foreign language "Greek for You" aimed at teenagers and adults. The bilingual material facilitates classroom teaching, while it can also be used for self-study.

The "Greek for You" series is intended for:

• Students in universities abroad
• High school students
• Immigrants in Greece
• Greek immigrants returning to Greece, as well as Greeks of the second, third, etc. generation abroad

The material of the A2 Book is in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the requirements set by the Center for Greek Language for A2 Certification of Greek Language Proficiency (Greek Proficiency A2).

The A2 Book includes:

• 308 texts* + 500 exercises (comprehension and production of spoken/written language, vocabulary & grammar)
• 13 Greek proficiency tests (one at the end of each chapter)
• 14 songs
• A vocabulary of 2225 words and expressions translated into the supporting language (a. Total alphabetical vocabulary in Appendix 2, b. Vocabulary by chapter, c. Thematic vocabularies)
• Summary tables of grammar (in Appendix 3)
• 3 chapters on cultural topics
• Cultural elements & aspects of everyday Greek life

For the creation of the educational material "Greek for You" A2, various teaching approaches were combined, with the communicative approach being predominant.
