Description

Description

The study of neo-scholastic ontology and the ontology of relation, two theological currents with a significant impact on Western Christianity, is of great importance for the interpretation of the texts of the Orthodox Church.

This is for at least three reasons:

▶First, the prerequisites and terminology on which the theology of Christian Western thought in the 20th century is built are understood, on one hand as official Roman Catholic doctrine and on the other hand as a dominant example in the Roman Catholic and Protestant world.

▶Second, the ultimate conclusions of Christian theology are highlighted through the interpretative choices of Western Christianity.

▶Third, it reveals the influences of these theological currents in the literature that deals with the texts of the Orthodox Church.
