Nevertheless, or perhaps precisely for these reasons, music, more than any other art, has the ability to penetrate easily into the roots of the human soul and create an immediate impact on our inner world.

What is it that music tells us, that we feel so intensely, yet it is desperately difficult, if not impossible, to express in words? How can sounds speak to us about things that words cannot?

Do they conceal some deeper meaning or do they simply enchant us with their artistic form? And what, ultimately, is the spiritual contribution of music to humanity?
