Description

The national uprising of 1821 and the creation of the first unified Greek state in 1830, essentially from scratch, represent an extraordinary miracle of "Epicurean Deviation" with global significance.

Two centuries after the glorious Revolution, unfortunately, 2021 resembles 1821! History, despite what historians say, repeats itself cyclically due to the unchanging human nature, according to Thucydides. Greece is geopolitically crushed from the East by the revisionist expansionist Muslim Turkey and economically by the political dependence and patronage of the West.

We are called, in view of the 100th anniversary of 1940, which the "Greece 2021" Committee intends to celebrate in 2040, to repeat a proud NO both to the dangerous Turkish appeasement and to the suffocating Euro-German colonialism. With the same unifying, resistant, and heroic spirit of the Epic of 1940!

If the above is unattainable for our transitional political leadership, I alternatively suggest the realistic utopia of the "Switzerlandization" of Greece.

This was, after all, the vision of the First Governor of Greece Ioannis Kapodistrias, the Delphic poet Angelos Sikelianos, and the last great Greek Mikis Theodorakis. From different perspectives for each. It is worth daring to pursue this for the future improvement of our fate.
