  • Rich sound
  • Sound quality
  • Construction quality
  • Ease of adjustment
  • Value for money
  • App dependency: True lossless sound plays only through their own app. If you want to use Bluetooth, AirPlay, or another playback method, you lose quality, which is frustrating when you’ve paid a lot of money for hi-fi equipment.

Cloud/account connection requirement: Even for basic functions, an account and internet connection are often needed, which is unreasonable for devices that should work independently and locally.

Incompatibility with other services: Not all music apps are supported in the same way, and some functions (e.g., gapless playback, higher quality) vary depending on the source.

Closed ecosystem: Sonos speakers work best only with each other. If you want to combine them with equipment from another brand, the options are limited.

It does everything it promises in the best way. It takes a little time to understand all its functions. I have paired it with an Era100 and created a zone so they always play simultaneously. Lossless on Spotify at home instantly and easily. I have also connected it to the LG OLED as a wireless speaker and have home cinema for movies and PS5. Very premium in every aspect with no drawbacks. I knew about the high price beforehand so I don't count it as a negative.

I am a musician by profession and I can say that I am very satisfied with the Sonos 300! My only issue is that in order to get the best possible result you have to buy the stands, which are quite expensive in my personal opinion.

The best choice for surround sound if you are already in the Sonos ecosystem. Especially in Dolby Atmos and spatial audio, the biggest difference is noticeable. I was impressed by the sound quality even as stereo. The annoying thing about this is that you have to take them out of the setup as surround and set them up as stereo on their own. I hope with a future upgrade the process will be easier. Otherwise, although expensive, it is top quality just like Sonos itself.

I replaced the Sonos One that I had as surrounds in the set-up (arc + sub gen 3). It may be overkill, but the difference is noticeable both in atmos and in 5.1 content. You feel more immersed in sound as you watch content.
