Description

THE GREATEST ROCK BAND OF ALL TIME

Before the Beatles, the then-nascent pop culture was like a young comic without dimensions. Colorful, yes, but two-dimensional nonetheless. The emergence of these four young men from Liverpool completely changed the game, and their musical action - brief yet pivotal - brought the long-desired third dimension to a music that until then had been treated as if it had no dignity.

The Beatles added an extra dimension to pop music and to pop culture in general without taking away its vibrancy; they infused it with substance without robbing it of its lightness, made it “more popular than Christ,” and provided the energy it needed to transform from sound into a chain reaction with phenomena like Beatlemania.

They were the first "shamans" of pop culture who, by ritualizing in its newly built temple, could lead thousands, millions of young people into ecstasy and hysterical physical reactions. Like a volcano awakening, they released from within them a significant amount of hot lava, capable of forever changing the landscape, and then they extinguished forever. The volcano soon lay dormant. The shamans would no longer operate; Beatlemania would simply be a cherished memory of the new religion, yet the "hymns" they left behind would be omnipresent for years to come.

Dozens, hundreds of musicians would study them continuously and be influenced by them like a sacred book. If you look at the foundations of pop culture, you'll see that a large portion bears their musical stamp, and if you follow its evolution and course up to now, you will find their sonic imprint in every era, in every musical genre and idiom.

The aesthetic approach of the band has spread everywhere, like ink spreads on paper. The Beatles are not just a great and influential band. They are a landmark. Pop music is undoubtedly divided into the era before them and after them. The musical/social/aesthetic wave they caused left nothing untouched, and the truth is that this continues to this day.

In this edition, the journey, the myth, the discography, the films, the beginning and the end of the Beatles are captured in a unique and complete manner. As they deserve.
