The "Harvests" mentioned in the title of this book are a selection of sixty-four writings, which refer both to the place where I was born, the City, and to the environment in which I gradually matured thanks to the Great Church that has been located for four centuries in the martyred Fanar after the Fall.

The published texts are of various forms and scopes. They include lectures that were given at special commemorative gatherings, presentations at Orthodox and Inter-Christian conferences, studies in collective volumes and ecclesiastical journals, as well as several comments regarding ecclesiastical and socio-political current events that were posted on various church-related websites.

Most of the texts, particularly the comments, are composed in the modern Greek language and follow the monotonic system, while some others are in simple καθαρεύουσα and follow the polytonic system, depending on the practice of each respective publication. At the end of each text, a note is provided indicating where and when it was first published.
