Big difference compared to the Ryzen 5 1600 I had before. I gained 5 FPS in games and it also helped a lot with productivity, from music production to photo editing

I chose it to reduce costs for my gaming PC (instead of the 7800x3d) and from what I researched, it doesn't have major differences compared to the 7700x. It works perfectly with MSI B650m gaming plus WiFi, patriot viper ram ddr5 32gb 6000mhz with expo enabled, sapphire rx 9070xt nitro+ and arctic liquid 3 pro water cooling inside the pro gaming elite cube case with temperatures of 42-43°C idle and 48-50°C during gaming - video rendering in prolonged use.

It's worth getting the Tray version if you already have a cooler like I do (Arctic Freezer 36). It's installed on an ASRock A620M Pro RS and everything works perfectly. I believe it's the most value-for-money processor at this price, as it's very fast and doesn't lag anywhere.

Together with the Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB Kit 6000MHz. As for temperatures, even now in the summer, everything is fine.

I don't think there is a better value for money 8-core processor on the market in the past year (24/25). Extremely good in everything, very good efficiency and the funny thing? With one click in the BIOS it literally transforms into a 7700X, a CPU that's almost 100 euros more expensive.

I don't think you need to look elsewhere for VFM at least for now. 5 stars and easily

It's worth getting Tray as I bought it for 180 euros. It is installed on an MSI B650M Gaming Plus and everything works just fine. I believe it's the most value-for-money processor at this price because it's very fast and doesn't lag anywhere. My only issue is a bit with the temperatures (Of course, it's made to reach up to 95 as AMD stated, so it's okay) since it reaches them, while the i5 10400f would max out at 65 at most, whereas this one hits 65 easily. You need to tweak the fans a bit from the BIOS to get better results and everything will be a bit better.

One of the best CPUs on the market for 1440p gaming and light/rendering tasks, if useful. Good graphics cards have almost negligible differences with the 7800X3D at 1440P/4K, for anyone who doesn't care about the packaging and the makeshift cooler that comes with it, it's better to buy the tray version since it's the same CPU with a 3-year warranty and almost 100 euros less.

so far so good, cpu seems to be handling stuff ok for now, will update in 2-3 months again

UPDATE: After 6months of usage, CPU is doing great, it can handle good amounts of load, at the moment its used daily for a few VMs set up (work) plus light gaming (4-6hrs/week), temps even on stock cooling are great, however could prove noisy as a cooling system if maxing out on games and playing for a few odd hours.

Conclusion: For someone wanting some good CPU power without breaking the bank and with no intentions of overclocking this is the best value from AMD. If gaming is top priority, you need to get the *X3D series.

In general, I always recommend X3D in this generation, but the system that was built was mainly for office use and programming and Machine Learning, so I couldn't justify the extra money. It is flawless, classic AMD quality of the last 5 years, what more can one say.

    Very good!
It is quite fast without stuttering, easily handles games and performs well in video editing and multitasking.
In general, it does everything satisfactorily quickly and comfortably without strain or holding the rest of the machine back.
In idle with an Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo, it ranges from 45-50 degrees (it's August now as I write this review) and under heavy stress in demanding gaming with high graphics, it ranges around 80 (I've seen it reach up to 86 with a safe limit of 95, so it's good).
Logically, in winter and especially with better cooling, it shouldn't even reach those numbers.
At €225 Tray that I got it for, it's VFM!

Plays everything at 2K with a simple 4060, ranging from 80 to 160 fps depending on the game. It doesn't get tired with anything in general, and I didn't expect such performance from AMD! I switched from the 5950X because I was frustrated with the temperature that reached 90 degrees with water cooling! The 7700 goes up to 80 under full stress! Well done to AMD for creating an amazing CPU for its price.

Excellent processor, I don't have much else to say but it's worth mentioning that I haven't installed a GPU yet. I connected it with the display port that the motherboard has and just for fun, I decided to play Warzone with low settings and of course not at full resolution, and it worked... I was shocked!! I can only imagine what it can do with an RX 7800 XT, which I'm planning to get!

It is a perfect processor, get it. I was playing games with the gigabyte RX 7600 on Fortnite with epic graphics at 360 FPS cap, FiveM on medium graphics at 240 fps, GTA V on medium graphics at 360 fps, and overall it plays perfectly.

Unbelievable value for money. I don't think there's any reason to go for the 7600 when this is at this price

  • Big difference compared to the Ryzen 5 1600 I had before. I gained 5 FPS in games and it also helped a lot with productivity, from music production to photo editing

  • I chose it to reduce costs for my gaming PC (instead of the 7800x3d) and from what I researched, it doesn't have major differences compared to the 7700x. It works perfectly with MSI B650m gaming plus WiFi, patriot viper ram ddr5 32gb 6000mhz with expo enabled, sapphire rx 9070xt nitro+ and arctic liquid 3 pro water cooling inside the pro gaming elite cube case with temperatures of 42-43°C idle and 48-50°C during gaming - video rendering in prolonged use.

  • There is no reason for me to write a review, it is simply perfect. If you find it under €250, it's totally worth it for someone who wants a good, powerful, decent PC.

  • I am really very satisfied, a value-for-money processor that is worth every euro for mid-low pc builds https://valid.x86.fr/cuj7i3

  • It's worth getting the Tray version if you already have a cooler like I do (Arctic Freezer 36).
