If I could, I’d give it 3.5/5, but I can’t, so 4 due to doubts //Update: I’m changing it to 3 TBD.
I’ve had it for 3 months. I admit I never read the comments, and I’m seeing them now, but for an M <1.4kg helmet under €400, it’s hard for it not to have weak points. Here are some material cutbacks in the mechanisms:
The visor latch and release button haven’t broken on me YET, but I admit I’ve gotten junk from TEMU with better build quality. With thick gloves, they definitely have a limited number of days left for opening/closing.
The airflow has two sides: Do you ride upright? You’ll melt. Do you ride in an S (street-position kind of) stance? Then you feel the air caressing your head. The design clearly assumed one body position/helmet angle.
The intercom slot is probably meant to be wedged somewhere into the plastic, rather than being an actual “slot.” Likewise, the mechanism for the sun visor is a joke.
For friends who talk about sound insulation, unfortunately, 22.06 helmets come with anti-sound-insulation standards so they can sell you extras afterward.
So what’s good about this helmet?
(1) The sun visor really does filter the sunlight nicely.
(2) The weight is a game changer. 50–100g may sound trivial, but in a headwind the difference in neck fatigue is massive.
(3) It comes with a complimentary watermelon holder, for the summer.

The only reason someone would buy it is its weight for the price. Personally, in the end, I might have included +2 visors in the final price and moved up a category to stay around this weight or even go lower.
--Summer update: 3+5 months of use:: It was warm in there during the summer, but not an oven. It’s perfectly bearable. I still haven’t replaced the latch. The quality (firmness) of the padding remains the same as on day one, which for me was just the right balance of firmness and softness. Nothing else has changed; there are simply now other options in the 1300g/€400 range that could be considered. For me, 1300g remains the best value.

After 6 months of daily and travel use (3,000 km) on a Yamaha XT, that is, without a protective windscreen.

Positives:

Rich equipment: The helmet comes with a Pinlock (anti-fog insert) and a dark (black) visor in addition to the clear one – something you rarely find at this price.

Design and weight: Lightweight due to carbon construction and very attractive in appearance.

Good fit: Sits well on the head without pressure.

Visibility: Had excellent visibility compared to other helmets I had tried.

Negatives:

Noise: From 60 km/h and above, the noise becomes intense, even with the vents and visor closed. On a naked bike, it is tiring on trips.

Ventilation: Minimal airflow inside the helmet even at high speeds. The result was intense sweating, especially on highways and summer days.

Sun visor mechanism: The internal sun visor did not operate smoothly at all. It jammed every time I tried to raise it.

Drop resistance: The most disappointing moment was when the helmet fell from a small static height and the visor mechanism broke while the rear part of the shell also opened. This raised serious doubts about its real resistance in the event of an accident.

Immediately after, I switched to the Shark Spartan RS, which has a similar cost to the Vector 2 (€390) and I noticed the difference from the very first ride:
Ventilation is incredible, you feel the air coming in.
Sun visor drops like butter.
Visor mechanism is night and day compared to the Vector 2.

In short, after the damage it suffered from this small fall, I would not recommend it, disappointing for its price.

Pros:
-Good visibility
-Beautiful appearance
-Stable up to 120 on a bike without particularly good wind protection
-Relatively light for 22.06
-Comes with a second tinted visor

Cons:
-Number one and most basic: safety. The mark you see in the photo is a crack. This crack happened after the helmet fell from a height of ~50 centimeters onto a step. If it breaks from such a fall, I don't want to imagine what will happen if you crash at 50+ km/h.
Note that I've had the helmet for 3 weeks, it had ~500 kilometers and was literally brand new, and now it's useless from such a small fall. I had a Nolan N64 for 10 years, I can't remember how many times it had fallen and it hadn't even gotten a scratch. And we're talking about a 400€ carbon helmet versus a 130€ plastic helmet. Draw your own conclusions.
*edit*: After inspection, it was found that this crack is superficial on the carbon (which is like the outer varnish cracking on paint) and theoretically does not pose a risk of falling apart in a crash, etc. This, of course, with all reservations.

-Fit. I tried the helmet on 3 times before buying it, in 10-15 minute tests I couldn't tell exactly, I didn't feel much pressure, mainly on the cheeks which everyone told me was normal. In the end, the helmet leaves me with a strong redness on my forehead after 20-30 minutes. I don't feel excessive discomfort, but in any case, when I wear it for half an hour, I look like an eggplant. (The size is correct, I was measured in 3 stores). *update* 1000km: The fit on the cheeks has become looser, but on the forehead it's marginally worse and after 1 hour of riding I have to stop due to headache.
*edit*: I took it to the company where I bought it and they somehow changed the inner shell and now I'm relatively ok. It doesn't hurt me, but it's not tight enough on the cheeks. For example, if your head is 60 cm, you might want the XL and not the Large. This helmet has a very round fit and is intended for people with heads like potatoes or bowling balls. So if you have an oval head, go +1 size or choose another brand.

-The pinlock they provide. Somehow it manages to fog up sometimes, especially if you breathe through your mouth, and after I put it on, I feel like it changes how clearly you see. It's like putting on a bad film that distorts colors and clarity (I noticed this from the first ride before it had even been used much).

-On a ride at 25 degrees, if I had the visor completely closed, I felt intense heat. Also, the vents at the top are quite far back, so if you ride upright (I have an on/off bike) not enough air passes through and I have to keep my head slightly lowered. It's intended for sport touring up to super sport riding position.

-If you don't snap the visor all the way down, there's a very annoying whistling noise. And even when fully closed, the visor fogs up without the pinlock, so you're between a rock and a hard place... In general, even with the visor closed, you can't call it quiet. 102dB in a well-known review, it's in the category of the noisiest helmets.

Overall, I regret spending 400€ to have a helmet less functional than 200€ helmets. I wanted to give LS2 a chance and I'm already regretting my money.
*edit*: I still regret my purchase, even though the fit issue was partly resolved. The ventilation issue still bothers me a lot, it's a hot helmet. I would only recommend it to someone for whom it fits well on the head and only in the basic version, not the carbon one, for city use and short getaways. If you want to use it on the highway, only with earplugs. If you want to take a long summer trip and you have it in black, good luck with the heatstroke.

*last edit*: The disappointment has peaked since some time ago the small plastic piece that holds the visor broke on its own while riding, so now the new visor, which has 15 rides/1500 km of use, is useless (note that this is not covered by warranty). If you do a little research, you’ll see that this happens to a lot of people, which is no coincidence.
Finally, as shown in the photo, the leatherette on the front part of the helmet has already started to peel off.

*one more edit*: For a while now, the internal sun visor is also broken, it doesn’t go up with the lever, it goes crooked and needs to be helped by hand to go up (which means you have to take both hands off the handlebars). Now it’s just ridiculous and I feel like I have Lego on my head. Laughable and pitiful.

What can I say, this is the worst purchase I have ever made in my life. Stay away

Lightweight 1400g helmet in Large, it feels like you're not wearing it. Good ventilation, moderate noise, perfect padding, very good fit. Maybe at first it may feel a little tight when worn, but it gradually settles.
23-6-2026. Update
Good shell material as a helmet, but the visor and its mechanism are terrible. So far I have changed 3 visors (cost 50 each....). They all break inside the mechanism. It has some very small teeth and they break after 3-4 months of use. If you leave the visor open and hit a pothole (even a small one), it closes by itself. If you open the throttle and go at 70 km/h and above, it closes again by itself. .. Only when fully closed does it stay quiet.... Awful. Also the visor latch at the front on the nose piece has started to stick. It doesn't open easily. Want to open it with one hand? Impossible. I regret the money I spent. I literally want to throw it away. I have a cheap one for 100 euros and everything works perfectly... What a shame for the 350 I paid... Get another brand....

I bought it on 18/7/2024. These two days that I have it in my possession, the first impressions are impressive. Starting from the packaging, you can see it in the photos I have shared. The black box comes with this white bag, which is very useful, plus the helmet cover, which is the classic LS2. Also, in the package and at the price, it included the Pin lock, black tinted visor, a small pillow that you inflate to use as a base for the helmet at home or wherever you want, plus some discreet stickers to be visible at night. Now, as for the helmet, it has an incredible feel on the head, it fastens perfectly. On naked motorcycles, where I have reduced the noise quite a bit from the two helmets I have in my possession, but it doesn't mean that there is no noise at all in this category. It is very light, very good quality materials, the pads and the general characteristics of the helmet such as air vents, visor fastening, etc. Once some time passes and I have done some more kilometers, I will come back with a newer review. I recommend it for this price, it is a very good helmet for carbon!
