The stories of Balvenie Distillery are unique and special, as each one hides the story of an individual. The stories begin from the start, and The Sweat Toast of American Oak is the first bottle to be released from The Balvenie Stories series. All these bottlings are inspired by events and people who played a significant role in both the past and present of Balvenie Distillery.

This particular story is inspired by apprentice malt master Kelsey McKehnie and her idea to introduce new oak barrels from Kentucky and heavily toast them at the Balvenie Cooperage. Then, they were filled with aged ex-bourbon barrels for a finishing period.

The predominant aromas are citrus, such as orange peel and lemon, spicy scents of ginger and oak, along with sweet aromas of cinnamon, butterscotch, melted brown sugar, and honey. The result is a complex and delightful Whisky!
