It offers higher speeds compared to single band and connection of more devices. The 2.4Ghz frequency is the most widespread and has a large range. The 5Ghz provides higher speed than the 2.4Ghz but is more sensitive to obstacles (e.g., walls) that reduce its range. This difference and its more limited use help it to have fewer interferences from other networks. Offers up to 1300Mbps in total to devices connected to it. In practice, the actual speed shared with devices is closer to 200Mbps. It is Wi-Fi 5 generation, the most widespread Wi-Fi standard, which can meet the needs of most users at present.
