  • Type

    Wide Angle

Wide-angle lenses with optics that allow for fitting many elements within the frame with relatively little distortion. Their focal distance is usually 24-35mm for full-frame, 15-25mm for crop frame, and 50-70mm for medium format. They are commonly used in street photography but also in indoor spaces where there is limited distance from the subject. The perspective of wide-angle lenses makes things appear farther apart than they actually are.

  • Mount

The type of mount that the camera body must have in order for the lens to be fully functional when attached to it.

    2. Some lenses can be used with older mounts from the same manufacturer, sacrificing certain functions (e.g. autofocus), or even with mounts from other manufacturers using an adapter.

  • Item

Lenses with variable optical (zoom) that remain equally bright (same maximum aperture value) throughout the entire focal distance range they offer. Usually significantly more expensive than their variable aperture counterparts.

    Fixed Focal Length

Lenses with fixed optics are usually of higher quality than a corresponding zoom lens at the same focal distance. They are also called "fixed" or "prime" lenses.

  • Sensor Type

    Full Frame

Photographic lenses designed for use on full frame sensor cameras. A full frame lens can also be used on a crop frame sensor camera, but with its focal length adjusted according to the corresponding crop factor.

For example, a full frame lens with a focal length of 50mm (standard) on a camera body with a crop factor of 1.6 will function with a perspective as if it were an 80mm lens (telephoto).

The reverse does not work as the optics of a crop frame lens are not sufficient to cover an entire full frame sensor, resulting in the edges of the frame being black (severe vignetting).

  • Maximum Aperture (f)

Opening the diaphragm determines the amount of light received by the camera and affects the depth of field.
    2. The most open aperture of a lens is called the maximum. The more open the aperture (smaller f-number), the shallower the depth of field.

Description

Description

The Samyang Cine V-AF 24mm T1.9 FE is a wide-angle cinema prime lens for Sony FE mount. It covers full-frame sensors and supports resolutions up to 8K, while its multi-coating helps reduce reflections. The 9-blade aperture creates natural bokeh, and tally lights on the front and base indicate when the camera is recording.

Autofocus makes it easy to use with a gimbal or drone. The switch between autofocus and manual focus saves focus settings, while the lenses in the series share a common center of gravity, allowing you to swap lenses without rebalancing your equipment. The series also supports custom functions via firmware.
