It is so light and tiny that you wouldn't expect it to perform well, yet at 1400w it does a great job, 10 times more effective than the usual hotel hair dryers. It takes up minimal space and of course, I will take it with me on every trip. The only "negative" is that it doesn't have a cool air function, but I won't dwell on that because it is really so convenient!
