The KING Hoff oval cast iron casserole dish retains heat, allowing food to cook slowly and evenly. Its black surface is created by seasoning the cast iron with vegetable oil at a high temperature and is oxidised to reduce susceptibility to rust. Small amounts of iron are released during use.
To maintain it, we recommend periodically coating the entire surface with a thin layer of cooking oil.
