The Razer Atlas is a 450mm x 400mm x 5mm glass Mousepad, with a relatively thin thickness compared to its competitors in the glass category, a very special and good non-slip base, and comes in two colors. White / Black.
It is quite durable, so don't be afraid to break it, but... please do not try to break it or use it as a cutting board for vegetables!
As I said, it is glass, which translates to very fast mouse gliding and extremely easy to make micro-adjustments.
At the same time, this is also its flaw for some. Glass on a Mousepad is not for everyone, especially for people who play, for example, Counter Strike, where speed is not everything but stability is. It is ideal for Fast Paced Games, such as APEX, Call of Duty, Overwatch, and others. Of course, obviously there are people who play Valorant, Counter Strike, and other slower games that prefer speed, so speed is not a dealbreaker for everyone.
The biggest enemy of Glass Pads is dust. You feel it on the mouse. BUT TRUST ME, all you need is a quick wipe with a cloth and you're ready.
The good thing about Glass Pads is that they last FOREVER. With traditional Mousepads, depending on usage, it is recommended to change them after 6 months to a year because the fabric wears out.
Something you should know is that the friction of the Mousefeet with the surface of the Mousepad creates noise, but it is not annoying, you won't hear it with a headset, and it won't bother those around you. Also, the friction wears out the Mousefeet faster than a traditional Mousepad, which means that in the distant future you will need to change your Mousefeet at some point.
Overall, having another Glass Pad in my possession (unfortunately not available in the Greek Market), I can confidently say that the Razer Atlas is a Premium Product, with a good price for a Glass Pad compared to the competition but an expensive product for the average user who does not know the market, and I recommend it if you believe it suits you.
Το Razer Atlas είναι ένα 450mm x 400mm x 5mm γυάλινο Mousepad, με αρκετά λεπτό πάχος σε σχέση με τους ανταγωνιστές του στην κατηγορία των γυάλινων, πολύ ιδιαίτερη και καλή αντιολισθητική βάση και έρχεται σε δύο χρώματα. Λευκό / Μαύρο.
Είναι αρκετά ανθεκτικό, οπότε μη φοβάστε να σπάσει αλλά… σας παρακαλώ μη δοκιμάσετε να το σπάσετε ή μη το κάνετε δίσκο κοπής για λαχανικά!
Όπως είπα, είναι γυάλινο, που μεταφράζεται σε πολύ γρήγορη ολίσθηση του Mouse και εξαιρετικά εύκολο να κάνετε micro-adjastments.
Ταυτόχρονα, αυτό είναι και το ελάττωμα του για μερικούς. Το γυαλί σε Mousepad δεν είναι για όλους και ιδικά άτομα που παίζουν για παράδειγμα Counter Strike, όπου η ταχύτητα δεν είναι το παν αλλά η σταθερότητα. Είναι ιδανικό για Fast Paced Games, όπως APEX, Call of Duty, Overwatch και άλλα. Βέβαια, προφανώς υπάρχουν άτομα που παίζουν Valorant, Counter Stike και άλλα πιο αργά Games που προτιμούν ταχύτητα, οπότε δε σημαίνει πως είναι Dealbreaker η ταχύτητα για όλους.
Ο μεγαλύτερος εχθρός των Glass Pads, είναι η σκόνη. Την νιώθετε στο Mouse. ΑΛΛΑ TRUST ME, το μόνο που χρειάζεστε ένα μικρό πέρασμα με ένα πανάκι και είστε έτοιμοι.
Το καλό των Glass Pads επίσης είναι πως κρατάνε ΓΙΑ ΠΑΝΤΑ. Με τα παραδοσιακά Mousepads, ανάλογα την χρήση, προτείνετε η αλλαγή μετά από 6 μήνες με ένα χρόνο επειδή το ύφασμα φθείρετε.
Κάτι που θα πρέπει να ξέρετε είναι πως η τριβή των Mousefeet με την επιφάνεια του Mousepad, δημιουργεί θόρυβο αλλά ούτε είναι ενοχλητικός, ούτε θα τον ακούτε με Headset, ούτε θα ενοχλεί τους γύρω σας. Επίσης, η τριβή χαλάει πιο γρήγορα τα Mousefeet από ότι ένα παραδοσιακό Mousepad που σημαίνει πως στο μακρινό μέλλον θα χρειαστείτε να αλλάξετε τα Mousefeet σας κάποια στιγμή.
Overall, έχοντας στην κατοχή μου και άλλο Glass Pad (δυστυχώς μη διαθέσιμο στην Ελληνική Αγορά), μπορώ να πω με σιγουριά πως το Razer Atlas είναι ένα Premium Προϊόν, με καλή τιμή για Glass Pad σε σχέση με τον ανταγωνισμό αλλά ακριβό προϊόν για τον μέσο χρήστη που δε ξέρει την αγορά και το προτείνω εάν πιστεύεις ότι σου ταιριάζει.
