At the heart of the NT-505-X are two ESS Technology ES9038Q2M SABRE32 converters, one for each channel. Its fully balanced dual-mono circuit design extends from the power supply to the analog output, preventing interference and delivering exceptional dynamic range. It supports playback up to DSD512 (22.5MHz) and PCM 768kHz/32bit.
The TEAC NT-505-X is a top-tier network DAC featuring a dual-mono architecture. Equipped with two ESS ES9038Q2M SABRE32 chips, it delivers high-resolution audio playback up to DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32-bit. It supports network services such as Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz and Roon Ready, as well as MQA decoding. It also features Bluetooth with LDAC, Bulk Pet USB technology and a headphone amplifier, all housed in an A4-sized metal chassis.
Dual-Mono Architecture & ESS DAC
At the heart of the NT-505-X are two ESS Technology ES9038Q2M SABRE32 converters, one for each channel. Its fully balanced dual-mono circuit design extends from the power supply to the analog output, preventing interference and delivering exceptional dynamic range. It supports playback up to DSD512 (22.5MHz) and PCM 768kHz/32bit.
Network Streaming, MQA & Roon Ready
Connect the device to your network to play music from a NAS, PC or popular services such as Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz and TuneIn. It supports full MQA decoding for exceptionally accurate waveform reproduction and is Roon Ready certified. The OpenHome platform and TEAC HR Streamer app also provide easy wireless control.
Wireless Bluetooth & USB Bulk Pet
It features a Bluetooth receiver supporting advanced codecs LDAC (24bit/96kHz) and Qualcomm aptX HD for high-resolution wireless listening. For USB connectivity, Bulk Pet technology ensures stable data transfer with four modes, balancing the processing load and improving sound quality.
Dual Clocks & External Input
It features two built-in clocks for 44.1kHz and 48kHz frequencies, eliminating jitter during asynchronous USB transfer. In addition, the 10MHz external clock input enables synchronization with an external master clock generator for even greater accuracy. It also offers 7 PCM digital filters and up-conversion to up to 384kHz PCM.
Dual Toroidal Transformers & QVCS
The power supply is based on two high-capacity toroidal transformers, providing independent power to each channel. Volume is controlled by the TEAC-QVCS four-circuit system, adjustable in 0.5 dB steps, keeping the signal clean and free from wiring noise.
Headphone Amplifier & Metal Chassis
The TEAC-HCLD2 circuit functions as a powerful headphone amplifier with a 3.5mm 4-pole (Ground Separate) jack, capable of driving headphones with impedance of up to 600Ω. The all-metal chassis with 8mm-thick aluminum side panels provides protection against electromagnetic interference in a compact A4-sized design.
