Description

The TEAC UD-701N DAC combines a discrete-design TEAC ΔΣ converter, network player, analog preamplifier and headphone amplifier. Its dual-mono, fully balanced architecture extends from the power supply to the analog output stage and includes four independent toroidal-core transformers. It supports DSD playback up to 22.5 MHz and PCM up to 384 kHz/32-bit, while its upconversion function offers 2xFs, 4xFs and 8xFs options.

The XLR and RCA analog inputs allow it to be used as a preamplifier, while the headphone outputs include a 4-pin balanced XLR connection and an unbalanced 6.3 mm stereo jack. The headphone amplifier supports headphones with an impedance of 16–600 Ω and lets you switch between balanced and active grounding. The Ethernet connection and Bluetooth 4.2 receiver support network playback and wireless streaming, while the unit supports Spotify Connect, Tidal, Qobuz and TuneIn.
