Charging controller suitable for installations up to 20A at 24V. This is a PWM type. PWM Charging Controllers simply connect the photovoltaic panel to the battery (12/24/48V), acting as simple switches.
When the switch closes, the panel's voltage matches that of the battery. The result is that the voltage of the array that the PWM controller can accept depends on the battery voltage and is small, usually one to two panels of 100/200Wp in series and with correspondingly small charging current compared to the capabilities of an MPPT charging controller.
Based on the above, PWM charging controllers are ideal for smaller systems where the efficiency of the system is not such an important factor and for solar collectors with a maximum power voltage (Vmp) of up to 18V for charging a 12V battery.
