The book contains the text of the sacred Mystery of the Holy Unction and its modern Greek translation, in order to help the faithful consciously participate in the Mystery.

Its purpose is for them to understand the sacred text, to pray fervently, and to seek the Grace and mercy of God "for the healing of soul and body" for themselves personally, as well as for their loved ones.
