In my occasional three-month use so far, it seems fast and good to me, compared to my previous scanner, a twenty-year-old HP Scanjet. At one point I had trouble, when after two consecutive power outages, my scans came out pitch black. The possible cause was the USB port because when I changed it and restarted the computer, the problem was solved.
