The conquest of self-knowledge, the so-called "know thyself," is a challenging task that requires delving into the inner world of the individual, in a search for the true manifestations of thought, reactions, and the overall attitude and behavior that they adopt.

The texts of this book aim for and target a deeper acquaintance of the individual with themselves and a study and engagement with the true image of their existence, the real or rather the true self, as described by the great psychoanalyst Donald Winnicott.

Thus, the texts included in this book attempt to train the reader to become an observer of themselves and, by extension, of others, activating critical thinking, appreciation, and evaluation, so that they can more easily reject what is unnecessary and keep what empowers them mentally.

We use the present tense, as this is not a book that the reader will read and leave in a corner of their library, but rather one they may return to again and again for strength and courage.
