The Allen & Heath WZ3 12:2 analog mixer is designed for audio mixing and features 8 mono inputs with insert/direct out, pad, a 100 Hz HP filter and a four-band equalizer. It also includes 2 dual stereo inputs, 2 stereo returns and built-in effects with two Digitech processors, each featuring 16 programs. The six aux outputs are pre- or post-fader on outputs 1–4 and post-fader on outputs 5–6.

The mixer features a headphone output, PFL, mute, master insert, main XLR output, A/B phono output, MIDI input and a sys-link2 output for connecting compatible Allen & Heath mixers. The footswitch can bypass the effects.
