The sport of Weight Throw is a competitive activity influenced by various sports, such as Strongman, Stone lift, Power Lifting, and Olympic Weight Lifting. The hammer used in Weight Throw resembles the classic hammer; however, it is heavier and features a built-in handle without wire, which rotates. It is made of forged iron, providing durability against drops.

There are two different types of competitions in Weight Throw:

• Distance Throwing Competition: It includes 28LBS hammers for men and 14LBS for women in the light version, as well as 56LBS for men and 28LBS for women in the heavy version.
• Height Throwing Competition: The athlete must throw above a certain height to proceed to the next round. Participants have three attempts, with hammer weights of 56LBS for men and 28LBS for women.
