UltraMic Preamplifiers & 3-Band Analog Equalizer

The Soundcraft FX16ii features 16 discrete UltraMic preamps, providing high headroom, low noise and up to 60 dB of gain. Each channel is equipped with an 80 Hz/100 Hz, 18 dB/octave high-pass filter to eliminate unwanted noise, as well as a Channel Insert jack for connecting external processors (compressors, gates). The 3-band equalizer includes a sweepable midrange, offering precise control and shaping of the audio spectrum.

Built-in 24-bit Lexicon Digital Effects Processor

The console’s central section incorporates the Lexicon 24-bit DSP digital processor, based on the same processor used in the brand’s standalone effects units. It offers 32 factory algorithms, including Reverbs (Hall, Room, Plate, Vocal), Delays, Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, and Tremolo. The unit features 3 parametric adjustment controls, a Tap Tempo function for synchronizing delays, and the ability to save custom presets.

Multichannel Connectivity, Direct Out & Signal Routing

The FX16ii is specifically designed for multichannel applications, offering 16 independent Direct Out outputs (1/4" TRS) across all input channels. Using internal jumpers, the Direct Out outputs can be configured for Pre-Fader or Post-Fader operation, allowing 16 independent tracks to be recorded simultaneously to an audio interface or DAW without affecting the live mix. It also features 4 subgroups for grouping instruments and 4 auxiliary outputs (AUX Sends).

Ergonomic Rotated Connector Pod & 10U Rack Construction

The console incorporates the patented Rotated Connector Pod system, featuring a rotating connection panel. The input and output panel can be rotated 90 degrees, allowing cables to be positioned at the rear when installed in a standard 19" Rack 10U, or at the top for desktop use. All channels are equipped with highly durable 100 mm faders, independent Mute and Solo (PFL) buttons, and peak LED indicators.
