Fake plastic! It has good features but its sound is distorted. Many settings but not quality sound. If you want it for home with relatively low volumes, it's fine. It's not suitable for high volume. For me, it distorts my M-Audio Forty Sixty studio monitors, while the Stanton mixer I had didn't distort even at full volume.
