At the age of 10, best friends Musashi and Kojiro sit in excited silence as Kojiro's father tells stories of evil demons that attack the innocent and the warriors who defeat them.

Practicing swordsmanship, the two swear an oath to become the strongest in the world. However, as they grow up, Kojiro becomes cynical and Musashi realizes he cannot single-handedly overturn 150 years of demonic rule.

Reported to be miraculous with the use of a relic, he approaches the decision to settle for a life of labor. Yet, he cannot shake the feeling that he has a responsibility to act... and soon, the injustices of his world will force him to take action.
