Description

The inflatable board Serenade by Viking is intended for users of small to medium stature. Despite its small size, it has an exceptionally hydrodynamic design that provides speed, agility, and quick response to the paddler's commands.
It features an EVA anti-slip coating on almost the entire deck, allowing the rider to easily find balance, and a progressive Rocker Profile that suits most sea conditions.
Thus, it is ideal for both beginners and intermediate users who seek a balanced, reliable, and easy-to-use SUP.

Tolerance to high temperatures

Most SUPs worldwide are not made to withstand 45 or 50 degrees under the sun as excessive heat increases the internal air pressure, often exceeding the limit of 15 psi and leading to small or large air leaks. Viking SUPs are manufactured based on Welding Rail technology, which increases resistance to internal pressure up to a maximum of 25 psi.

This technology allows for the mechanical welding of PVC layers (Welding Rail Tech) without the use of glue, achieving the fusion of two surfaces into a single, solid structure. This significantly improves the durability of the SUP, especially on the sides of the board (rails) where the two surfaces converge and where the highest pressures occur. This technology, presented for the first time in Greece, exponentially enhances the mechanical properties of the SUP, especially its resistance to high temperatures.
Additionally, the reduction in glue usage makes the SUPs odorless and increases their ecological footprint. Further protection from high temperatures is provided by the internal UV radiation protection coating.

They are made with a thickness of 15 centimeters, which provides increased buoyancy and stability in mild wave conditions. Additionally, their core is made with ultra-reinforced and dense Drop Stitch material that gives them the much-desired rigidity.

It features an advanced hydrodynamic shape that makes it fast and responsive to the rider's commands. The design of the nose allows it to glide comfortably and straight in the water even in light waves. It is equipped with 3 fins for increased directionality. At the same time, its generous dimensions are balanced with a progressive Rocker profile, inspiring safety and stability.

Load capacity

It is made with multiple layers of high-quality PVC in direct fusion with a very dense Drop Stitch core. The result is achieving top load resistance in its category.

    So: I recently got it, mostly for my wife due to its size and price, but I also took it for 2 rides. As an owner of a bigger and more expensive model, I have to say that the Serenade is very decent and exceeded my expectations for the money I paid. It is very stable, fast despite being small, and it even handles light waves! As for its navigation, it has nothing to envy from more expensive models. Additionally, it looks nice and its overall build quality is very good. Inside the bag, I found the usual accessories. I particularly liked the very good dual-action pump that inflates the Sup quickly and easily. I think it is ideal as an entry-level sup and offers great value for money.
