The distillery that produces the well-known Ouzo Plomari Yiannatsi in Lesvos began ouzo production in 1932 and is the newest of the four distilleries remaining in Plomari. The family of Dimitrios Yiannatsi arrived in Plomari from Asia Minor with its oriental recipes. They use the best ingredients for their distillates:

• Grapes of exceptional quality from Lesvos
• Anise from Lisvori
• Fennel and aromatic plants from the surrounding mountains
• Soft, smooth water from the Sedounta River

The Plomari Yiannatsi Distillery utilizes modern technologies while preserving the knowledge of the art of distillation and continues to produce high-quality products that showcase Greece and Lesvos internationally.
