Description

Description

The Kingston Fury Impact DDR5 SODIMM is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their laptop.

DDR5

DDR5 is the fourth generation of RAM technology for computers. It replaces DDR4 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 3200MT/s to 12600MT/s, response time (CAS Latency) from CL 28 to CL 48, while its capacity has increased up to 64GB per memory unit.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger the size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for response time (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

Compatibility

DDR5 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR5 is compatible with Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR5 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

XMP & EXPO are technologies that let us increase our computer's memory frequency and performance without the need for manual settings. XMP/EXPO is easy to enable in the BIOS, is available on certain RAM modules, and is supported by certain motherboards.

The Kingston Fury Impact DDR5 SODIMM has XMP 3.0 profiles with the following specifications:

  • XMP 3.0 speed: 6400 MT/s
  • XMP 3.0 CAS latency: 40-40-40
  • XMP 3.0 voltage: 1.1V

Cooling & Design

The aluminum construction material helps keep the memory at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.
