The special membrane in the nose pocket prevents the lenses from fogging due to moisture from exhalation through the nose. The moist air from exhalation, as it exits the nose, has a higher temperature and is cooled by the special membrane and then diffused inside the mask. Additionally, this membrane also reduces the internal volume of the mask. It has a hydrodynamic shape and a wide field of view due to the angle of the frame.
