So for its price it's ok, it plays everything as long as you tweak the settings a bit. In terms of portability, it's the best for sure, definitely more convenient than a gaming laptop and it also has the advantage that you can add an external GPU for 2k and 4k gaming. On its own, it will play at 1080p and quite a lot on high and medium graphics. I use it as my main computer, I play my games, I do editing and it's just fine

I've had it for a year and a half, I decided to sell it... At first, it seems like a powerful machine for a portable console... but if you look at benchmarks of the integrated RDNA graphics card from AMD... you'll end up crying... 20-25 fps at best on medium low settings in general for all AAA games at 1080p.
Now, if you're more into light games, you won't have a problem...
I've noticed that the Mediatek wifi is problematic... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and you can't connect to wifi... more frustration here unless you don't mind playing your games offline on Steam.
The console doesn't have USB, HDMI ports etc... that's a big downside, because you have to buy a separate dock station, adapters, etc.
Personally, I got bored of the console and I'm selling it, the Rog Ally X is more of the same... except for the RAM memory.
Το εχω εναμιση χρονο , αποφασισα να το πουλησω ... Αρχικα μοιαζει δυνατο μηχανημα για φορητη κονσολα..αλλα αν κατσεις να δεις benchmarks της ενσωματωμενης καρτας γραφικων RDNA της Amd ..θα καθεσε να κλαις...20 -25 fps με το ζορι σε medium low settings γενικα σε ολα τα ΑΑΑ games για 1080p..
Τωρα αν εισαι πιο light στα παιχνιδια δε θα εχεις προβλημα...
Εχω διαπιστωσει οτι το wifi Mediatek ειναι προβληματικο..μια λειτουργει , μια δε λειτουργει και δε μπορεις να συνδεθεις στο wifi...αλλο κλαμα απο δω εκτος κι αν δεν εχεις προβλημα να παιζεις offline τα παιχνιδια σου στο Steam.
Η κονσολα δεν εχει θυρες usb , hdmi κλπ..μεγαλο μειον αυτο , γιατι πρεπει να καθεσε να αγοραζεις ξεχωριστα dock station , ανταπτορες κλπ..
Προσωπικα εγω την κονσολα τη βαρεθηκα και τη πουλαω , το Rog ally X ειναι μια απ τα ιδια..αν εξαιρεσεις τη μνημη ραμ..

A quite quality and powerful handheld deck-like system. It is noticeably more powerful than the Steam Deck in terms of performance, but it significantly lags behind in terms of battery life. In "Turbo" mode, over a span of 3 months, I notice it lasts around 1 hour, while "Performance" lasts 1.5-2 hours depending on the game. In "Quiet" mode, it can reach 3 hours and more; however, this specific preset is only good for 2D games, old 3D games, or light emulation.
Windows 11 is clearly a worse operating system choice than SteamOS, but it offers better compatibility in general and can run programs and games that would either require a lot of tinkering on Linux or wouldn't work at all due to kernel-level anti-cheat. It includes Armory Crate SE, which is a suite of features such as custom control profiles, game library integration, and on-screen display (with a dedicated button on the console that opens it) that allows you to toggle things like power mode, desktop resolution, control mode (auto, gamepad, desktop), Radeon Super Resolution (driver-level FSR), AMD Fluid Motion Frames (driver-level frame gen), and more. Very useful and functional, with the only downside being that things like RSR, AFMF, and FPS limit require a game reset to function, which is not mentioned anywhere by Armory Crate.
In terms of build quality, it is excellent. The screen colors are satisfactory, and the crispness is also good. The screen is 144Hz with Variable Rate Refresh support, so it automatically adjusts the framerate via FreeSync to eliminate tearing. The VRR also helps with power consumption (fewer Hz, less power needed by the screen). The joysticks are of good quality, although I would have preferred them to be a bit sturdier (personal opinion). The shoulder buttons are clicky, and the triggers are sturdy with a nice return.
The sound is wonderful for handheld, both in terms of volume and quality. The Dolby Surround it has produces nice results in terms of spatial audio.
I got the machine because I often travel to my parents' house and got tired of carrying my desktop. I already have a work laptop and didn't want to buy another just to play games, so such a device was a good choice. I spent 80% of my time with it on PS2/PS3 emulation, which it handles excellently, even in its "Performance" preset, with upscaling to 1080p/1440p. Some PS3 games may require "Turbo" or even connecting it to power (which increases the maximum power it uses from 25 to 30W), but this depends on the implementation of the game's emulation. The rest of the time was spent on indie games, which it obviously runs wonderfully, and on some AAA games like Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk, which it plays quite satisfactorily at 720p/900p with FSR in performance mode while plugged in, averaging 10-15FPS above the Steam Deck. The screen size provides satisfactory pixel density even at 720p, so the fidelity is quite good. For its size and specs, it is truly incredible that you can play these games in your bed/couch.
Here it should be noted that I am talking about the Z1 Extreme version, not the version with the standard Z1. In general, I recommend spending a little more money and getting the Extreme; it has significant differences in performance and system efficiency that sometimes make certain games unplayable, playable.
Now for the negatives, aside from the battery (which isn't an issue if you're playing indoors, as you can have it plugged in), its storage space is small (500GB) and I would NOT recommend plugging in a memory card, as -as has been mentioned many times- the card slot is directly above the exhaust vent and the card may melt from the heat. Asus provides compensation if this happens, but it's better not to get involved... The SSD it has is swappable, but if you do it yourself, the warranty will cease to be valid, and you will also need to reinstall the Armory Crate firmware.
Overall, for the price I paid, I am very satisfied, and it does what it does very well. It certainly doesn't reach the performance of a budget desktop with a dedicated GPU, but for something that fits in your hands, you can't ask for much. As a backup for times when I'm away from home, at 500 euros, it's a no-brainer.

Ένα αρκετά ποιοτικό και δυνατό handheld deck-like συστηματάκι. Είναι αισθητά πιο δυνατό απο το Steam Deck σε θέμα performance, όμως υστερεί σημαντικά στο θέμα της μπαταρίας. Στην επιλογή "Turbo" σε διάστημα 3 μηνών παρατηρώ οτι κρατάει γύρω στη 1 ώρα, ενώ το "Performance" 1μιση-2 ώρες ανάλογα το παιχνίδι. Στο "Quiet" μπορεί να φτάσει 3 ώρες και πάνω, βέβαια το συγκεκριμένο preset είναι καλό μόνο για 2D games, παλιά 3D games ή ελαφρύ emulation.

Απο θέμα κατασκευαστικής ποιότητας είναι άριστο. Τα χρώματα της οθόνης είναι ικανοποιητικά και το crispness επίσης. Η οθόνη ειναι 144Hz με Variable Rate Refresh support, οπότε κάνει αυτόματα adjust στο framerate μέσω FreeSync για εξάληψη του tearing. Το VRR επίσης βοηθάει στη κατανάλωση ρεύματος (λιγότερα Hz, λιγότερο ρεύμα που χρειάζετε η οθόνη). Τα joystick είναι ποιοτικά αν και θα τα ήθελα λιγο πιο στηβαρά (προσωπική άποψη). Έχω ήδη λαπτοπ δουλειάς και δεν ήθελα να πάρω και άλλο απλά για να παίζω games, οπότε μια τέτοια συσκευή ήταν καλή επιλογή. Το μέγεθος της οθόνης δίνει ικανοποιητικό pixel density ακόμα και σε 720p, οπότε το fidelity είναι αρκετά καλό. Για το μέγεθος του και τα specs του είναι πραγματικά απίστευτο το ότι μπορείς αν παίξεις αυτά τα παιχνίδια στο κρεβάτι/καναπέ σου.
Εδώ να σημειωθεί πως μιλάω για την Ζ1 Extreme έκδοση, όχι την έκδοση με τον απλό Ζ1. Γενικά, συστήνω να δώσετε κάποια παραπάνω λεφτά και να πάρετε τον Extreme, έχει μεγάλες διαφορές στην επίδοση και στην αποδοτικότητα του συστήματος που μερικές φορές κάνουν κάποια παιχνίδια απο unplayable, playable.
Στα αρνητικά τώρα, πέρα απο τη μπαταρία (που αν παίζετε εντός σπιτιού, δεν ειναι θέμα καθώς μπορείτε να το έχετε plugged in), ο αποθηκευτικός χώρος του είναι μικρός (500GB) και ΔΕΝ θα συνιστούσα να κουμπώσετε πάνω κάρτα μνήμης, καθώς -όπως έχει χιλιοαναφερθεί- το slot της κάρτας είναι ακριβώς πάνω απο exhaust vent και η κάρτα ενδέχεται να λιώσει απο τη θερμότητα. Η Asus δίνει αποζημείωση εφόσον αυτό συμβεί, αλλά καλύτερα να μη μπλέξετε... Ο SSD που έχει είναι swappable αλλά αν το κάνετε μόνοι σας η εγγύηση που έχει θα σταματήαει να ισχύει και επίσης θα χρειαστεί να ξαναπεράσετε πάνω το Armory Crate firmware.
Γενικά για τη τιμή που το πήρα έχω μείνει πολύ ευχαριστημένος και αυτά που κάνει τα κάνει πολύ καλά. Σίγουρα δε φτάνει τις επιδόσεις ενός budget desktop με dedicated GPU, αλλά για κάτι που χωράει στα χέρια σου δε μπορείς να ζητάς πολλά. Σαν backup για περιόδους που βρίσκομαι εκτός σπιτιού, στα 500 ευρώ, είναι μονόδρομος.
stay away from Asus. after 4 days of using quality usb cables for charging, it stopped charging. maybe 10/11 charges were done with the original charger and maybe one with a quality apple cable that has charged other devices for years without issue. the rog ally was purchased for €499 on black friday, and the repair cost for the scratching of the usb port was €603!!!!! in the end, I will fix it elsewhere and lose the warranty. Overall, a tragic representation and a vulnerable device. It's not worth the risk....
μακριά από Asus. μετά από 4 ημερες με χρήση ποιοτικων usb καλωδίων για φόρτιση, σταμάτησε να φορτίζει. ίσως 10/11 φορτισεις έγιναν με τον original charger και ίσως μια με ποιοτικό apple καλώδιο που φορτίζει χρόνια άλλες συσκευές χωρίς πρόβλημα. το rog ally αγοράστηκε 499€ σε black friday, και το κόστος επισκευής για το ξύσιμο της usb θύρας, ήταν 603€!!!!! τελικά θα το φτιάξω αλλού και θα χάσω την εγγύηση. Συνολικά τραγική αντιπρόσωπεια και ευαλωτο μηχάνημα. Δεν αξίζει το ρίσκο....
For those of you talking about the battery. It's not meant to be used without a power outlet anyway, it gives you a reasonable small autonomy like a regular GAMING laptop. You achieve the best performance when it's plugged in, as is logical. It's not a PSP, it's literally a handheld PC.
Για όσους λέτε για την μπαταρία. Δεν είναι για να παίζεις χωρίς πρίζα έτσι και αλλιώς, σ δίνει μία λογική μικρή αυτονομία σαν ένα κανονικό GAMING laptop. Την καλύτερη απόδοση την πετυχαίνεις όταν το έχεις στο ρεύμα όπως και είναι λογικό. Δεν είναι PSP είναι κυριολεκτικά handheld PC.

On the 7-inch screen, it feels like you're playing on a 2k monitor with high settings. You can't tell the difference.
It's quite fast in startup and loading times.
Compared to the Steam Deck, it's more comfortable to hold due to its size, weight, and thickness.
I like the Rogally much more, it runs everything without any adjustments.
Its weak point is the battery. It lasts for 50 minutes. So, either you stay plugged in or you buy a power bank.
Also, the Steam Deck is not silent. It wins in battery life but loses in fan noise.
To conclude, if you're into Steam games that it supports, go for the Steam Deck. But if you want everything, then the Rogally is the only way to go.
Παίζει τα παιχνιδια που το πηρα , destiny , warzone , forza 5.
Στην οθονη 7 ιντσών ειναι λες και τα παιζεις σε monitor 2k και σε high settings . δεν καταλαβαινεις διαφορά.
ειναι αρκετα γρηγορο σε εκκινηση και loading times.
Σε σχεση με το steam deck ειναι πιο ευχάριστο στο κρατημα λογω μεγεθους βαρους και παχους .
Μου αρεσει πολυ περισσοτερο το rogally τρεχει τα παντα χωρις ρυθμισεις.
το αδυναμο σημειο του ειναι η μπαταρια . 50 λεπτα . οποτε η εισαι στο ρευμα η αγοραζεις παρεα και ενα power bank..
επισης δεν ειναι αθορυβο το steamdeck κερδιζει σε μπαταρια αλλα και σε θορυβο στροφων ανεμιστηρα..
Ολοκληρώνω αν εισαι steam games που τα υποστηριζει ομως το steam deck γιατι δεν τα υποστηρίζει ολα οπως το destiny δεν ειναι συμβατο τοτε παρε steam deck αν τα θες ολα τοτε μονοδρομος το rogally.

Για όσους ψάχνουν σταθερό υπολογιστή με λίγα χρήματα και να παίζουν τα πάντα, αυτό και ένα dock των 20ευρώ κάνει παπάδες. Η μπαταρία όντως είναι θέμα, κρατά μια ώρα πάνω κάτω στη μεσαία επιλογή το οποίο είναι και λογικό για τη δύναμη της συσκευής. Όντως χαλάει το σλοτ για της sd card αλλά ποιος θα βάλει sd? με τα ίδια λεφτά κάνεις upgrade τον σκληρό του δίσκο.

In other words, you can have a 1000 euro computer that will perform much better, but it won't be portable... as a user of two weeks playing on this, I had to charge it several times a day, something that makes you think that the main reason I bought it is because it is portable, you can have it with you on trips, always considering the battery life they claim will last up to 8 hours, which is not true. So, for someone who wants to buy it, they should consider that the biggest negative is the battery, which for me was the only negative.

ΑΛΛΆ να πάρουμε τα πράγματα όπως έχουν για αρχή η μπαταρία του δεν είναι καλή λογικό βέβαια τρέχοντας windows 11 και απετιτικά παιχνίδια παρόλα αυτά μια καλύτερη μπαταρία θα μποσούσε να το κάνει 10 φορές καλύτερο από ότι είναι όσο για το θέμα συνδέσεις σε τηλεωραση η ποιότητα παιχνιδιού και απόδοση πέφτει αρκετά συν το ότι χρειάζεσαι το ντεκ πληκτρολόγιο ποντίκη πράγματα τα οποία θα κοστίσουν να πας σε κάτι ποιοτικό ασύρματο οπότε το ολο σύνολο κοντεύει στα 1000 ευρώ που ξεφεύγει με λίγα λόγια μπορείς να έχεις έναν υπολογιστή τον 1000 ευρών που θα πέξεις πολύ καλύτερα αλλά δεν θα είναι φορητό.... σαν χρήστης 2 εβδομάδων παίζωντας σε αυτό έπρεπε να το φορτίσω αρκετές φορές την μέρα κάτι το οποίο σκέφτεσαι ότι ο μεγαλύτερος λόγος που το πείρα το ότι είναι φωρητο μπορείς να το έχεις μαζί σου σε ταξίδια βαζιζόμενος πάντα στο θέμα της μπαταρίας που λένε θα σου κρατήσει έως και 8 ώρες κάτι το οποίο δεν αληθεύει οπότε για κάποιον που θέλει να το αγοράσει να το υπολογίσει ότι το μεγαλύτερο αρνητικο του είναι η μπαταρία που για μένα ήταν το μόνο αρνητικό

Hello, I have the Asus for about a month. I have no words for how amazing this console is. As someone who has PS5, XSX, Nintendo Switch, I have put them aside and only play on the Asus. I have never had direct contact with games on PC and now I see the sweetness.
Positives: It runs heavy games like Cyberpunk, Starfield, Forspoken on low/medium graphics with very high sharpness and 1080p at 32 to 38 fps at 15W, and at 25W it runs at 40 to 45 fps without being plugged in, and at 30W with the charger it runs at 45 to 50 fps.
Negatives: The battery drains in AAA games in 1 to 1.30 hours at 25W, and at 15W it can last 2 to 2.5 hours.
So far, I haven't seen anything else in terms of software.
Finally, regarding the micro SD, I haven't dared to try putting it in because of the overheating issue and the possible alteration of the card and maybe a problem with the console itself.
For me, it's worth its money for anyone who doesn't want to spend money on two different consoles and wants a compact console with some compromises, it's perfect.
Καλησπέρα έχω το Asus περίπου ένα μήνα . Δεν έχω λόγια για το πόσο υπέροχη κονσόλα είναι . Σαν άνθρωπος που έχει PS5 , XSX, Nintendo switch τις έχω αφήσει στην άκρη και παίζω στο Asus μόνο . Δεν είχα ποτέ άμεση επαφή με games στο PC και τώρα βλέπω την γλύκα .
Θετικά: τρέχει βαριά παιχνίδια cyberpunk, starfield, forspoken σε low/med graphics με πολύ υψηλό sharpness και 1080p στα 32 με 38 fps στα 15W και στα 25w 40 με 45fps χωρίς να είναι στην πρίζα και στα 30w με charger 45 με 50 fps.
Αρνητικά: μπαταρία κλαίει σε AAA games 1 -1 .30 ώρα στα 25w
στα 15w 2 μπορεί και 2.5 ώρες .
Μέχρι τώρα δεν έχω δει κάτι άλλο από άποψη software .
Τέλος όσο αναφορά την micro sd δεν έχω τολμήσει να δοκιμάσω να βάλω για το θέμα του overheating και κατά συνέπεια την πιθανή αλλοίωση τις κάρτας και ίσως πρόβλημα στην κονσόλα την ίδια .
Για εμένα αξίζει τα λεφτά της για όποιον δεν θέλει να δώσει λεφτά για δύο διαφορετικές κονσόλες και θέλει μια compact κονσόλα με μερικούς συμβιβασμούς είναι ότι πρέπει.
Purchase from Plaisio, I am very satisfied. A mid-range laptop that plays many games. Fast. We did a BIOS upgrade in general. Asus is top, it has support! Quality keys that don't creak like on the Switch. Solid construction with nice lighting. It surpasses Steam. Worth every euro. One thing to know is that the SD card function didn't work even once. I took it to the service center and they fixed this issue quickly! Upgrades were made after months. 1TB 2280 SSD, transparent back. With LED decor RGB and USB-C. What can I say, the Lenovo Go is like a slipper for the beach, I'm waiting for the Asus ROG X, it's coming very strong.
Αγορά από το πλαίσιο είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένος αντικαθιστά. Ένα laptop mid rage παιζει παρά πολλά παιχνίδια. Ταχύτατο. Κάνουμε 322 ανάβαθμιση στο bios γενικά. Η asus είναι κορυφή έχει υποστήριξη ! Ποιοτικά πλήκτρα δεν τρίζουν όπως στο switch φωτισμός ντουκι στηβαρη κατασκευή Το steam το ξεπερνά. Αξιζει κάθε ευρώ.ενα θέμα να ξέρετε είναι η λειτουργία τις card sd δεν λειτούργησε ούτε 1 φωρα. Πήγε στην αντιπροσωπία και το φιαξαν το θέμα αυτό γρήγορα !!! Αναβαθμίσεις που έγιναν μετά από μήνες. 1tb 2280 ssd jaux πλάτη διαφανές. Με led decor rgb usb c τι να μας πει το Lenovo go παντόφλα για την παραλία είναι περιμένω το asus ally rog X έρχεται πολύ δυνατό.

- It plays everything from emulators to FORZA HORIZON 5 and BALDURS GATE 3 without lag and with amazing graphics and sound quality!!!
- The ARMOURY CRATE + Command Center is simply... you have to work with them to "feel" their value!!!
- The controller needs remapping to play certain games like MAME, Crash Bandicoot, but this doesn't take away from the quality and "value" of the console as it can be easily done through the options of each game!!!
- The only negative is the battery as most of the time, after about an hour or so, it needs to be plugged in to play...
- I will try other emulators-games and I will come back!!!
So far, I am completely satisfied!!

- FH5, you can't tell if you're playing on the SERIES X or the ALLY.

- F1 22, the graphics and gameplay are great, but the sound sounds a bit "broken".
- OUTRUN 2006 COAST 2 COAST... You just have to see it and play it if you're a fan of arcades!!!
- DIRT 2.0, and here I have no words, while if you "play" with the Operating Mode in combination with the ALLY on a socket, the results are impressive!!

-Παιζει τα παντα απο emulators μεχρι FORZA HORIZON 5 και BALDURS GATE 3 χωρις να κολλαει και με καταπληκτικη ποιοτητα στα γραφικα και στον ηχο!!!
-Το ARMOURY CRATE + Command Center απλα.....πρεπει να τα δουλεψετε για να "νοιωσετε" την αξια τους!!!
-Το χειριστηριο του θελει remapping για να παιξει καποια παιχνιδια πχ MAME, Crash Bandicoot αλλα αυτο δεν αφαιρει απο την ποιοτητα και την "αξια" της κονσολας καθως γινεται πολυ ευκολα μεσα απο τα OPTIONS του καθε παιχνιδιου!!!
-Το μονο αρνητικο ειναι η μπαταρια του καθως την περισσοτερη ωρα, μετα την περιπου μια ωρα και κατι που "κραταει", για να παιξετε θα χρειαζεστε στανταρ μια πριζα κοντα σας....
-Θα δοκιμασω και αλλους emulators-games και θα επανελθω!!!
Μεχρι στιγμης ειμαι απολυτα ικανοποιημενος!!

Having the OneXPlayer 6800U as a benchmark, I will comment on the following.
The build quality could be slightly better, as the plastic seems of lower quality compared to the OneXPlayer.
The screen quality and brightness are the same, with the difference being that the Asus can go up to 120Hz instead of 60.
Battery-wise, expect around 1.5 hours of duration with the performance profile and 2+ hours with the 10W profile for retro gaming, movies, etc.
The latest firmware and software updates fixed the minor issues that existed.
For most people who don't have a benchmark for comparison, I believe they will be satisfied.
Now, for those who have a Steamdeck, OneXPlayer, Aya Neo, GPD, Aokzoe A1, etc., they will definitely see both positives and negatives.
The biggest positive is the price for the device's performance and screen quality.
Being able to play Diablo 4 with a mix of medium/low graphics at 80fps, I don't think any other handheld console can achieve that.
Update: The console received firmware 323, and the FPS in games increased with the exact same settings. It plays flawlessly at 15W for Nintendo Switch emulation and can go up to 30W in dock mode. With the latest firmware, it now supports aftermarket chargers and docks from 65W and above.

Έχοντας το OneXPlayer 6800U σαν μετρο σύγκρισης θα σχολιάσω τα παρακάτω.
Θα μπορούσε η ποιότητα κατασκευής να είναι λίγο καλύτερη, το πλαστικό μου φαίνεται χαμηλότερης ποιότητας απο το OneXPlayer.
Οθόνη ποιότητα και φωτεινότητα ίδια, με την διαφορά οτι το asus μπορεί να πάει μεχρι 120hz αντι 60.
Μπαταρία να περιμένετε πανω κατω 1μιση ωρα διάρκεια εαν βάλετε προφιλ performance και 2ωρες+ με 10w profile για retro gaming, ταινιες κτλ.
Τα τελευταία firmware και software updates εφτιαξαν τα μικροθεματακια που υπηρχαν.
Για τους περισσότερους που δεν έχουν μέτρο σύγκρισης πιστεύω οτι θα μείνουν ευχαριστημένοι.
Τώρα όσοι έχουν steamdeck, OneXPlayer, aya neo, GPD, aokzoe A1 κτλ, σίγουρα θα δουν θετικά και αρνητικά.
Το μεγαλύτερο θετικό είναι η τιμή για την αποδοση της συσκευής και την ποιότητα της οθόνης.
Το ότι μπορείς να παίξεις diablo4 με μιξη medium/low γραφικά με 80fps δεν νομίζω να μπορεί να το καταφέρει άλλη κονσόλα χειρός
Update: Η κονσόλα πηρε το firmware 323, ανεβηκαν τα fps στα παιχνιδια με τις ίδιες ακριβώς ρυθμίσεις. Παίζει άψογα στα 15w Nintendo switch emulation και μπορεί να πάει μέχρι και 30w σε dock mode. Πλέον με το τελευταίο firmware υποστηρίζει aftermarket φορτιστές και docks απο 65w και πάνω.

So for its price it's ok, it plays everything as long as you tweak the settings a bit. In terms of portability, it's the best for sure, definitely more convenient than a gaming laptop and it also has the advantage that you can add an external GPU for 2k and 4k gaming. I've had it for a year and a half, I decided to sell it... At first, it seems like a powerful machine for a portable console... but if you look at benchmarks of the integrated RDNA graphics card from AMD... you'll end up crying... 20-25 fps at best on medium low settings in general for all AAA games at 1080p.
Now, if you're more into light games, you won't have a problem...
I've noticed that the Mediatek wifi is problematic... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and you can't connect to wifi... more frustration here unless you don't mind playing your games offline on Steam.
The console doesn't have USB, HDMI ports etc... that's a big downside, because you have to buy a separate dock station, adapters, etc.
Personally, I got bored of the console and I'm selling it, the Rog Ally X is more of the same... except for the RAM memory.

A quite quality and powerful handheld deck-like system. It is noticeably more powerful than the Steam Deck in terms of performance, but it significantly lags behind in terms of battery life. In "Turbo" mode, over a span of 3 months, I notice it lasts around 1 hour, while "Performance" lasts 1.5-2 hours depending on the game. In "Quiet" mode, it can reach 3 hours and more; however, this specific preset is only good for 2D games, old 3D games, or light emulation.
Windows 11 is clearly a worse operating system choice than SteamOS, but it offers better compatibility in general and can run programs and games that would either require a lot of tinkering on Linux or wouldn't work at all due to kernel-level anti-cheat. It includes Armory Crate SE, which is a suite of features such as custom control profiles, game library integration, and on-screen display (with a dedicated button on the console that opens it) that allows you to toggle things like power mode, desktop resolution, control mode (auto, gamepad, desktop), Radeon Super Resolution (driver-level FSR), AMD Fluid Motion Frames (driver-level frame gen), and more. Very useful and functional, with the only downside being that things like RSR, AFMF, and FPS limit require a game reset to function, which is not mentioned anywhere by Armory Crate.
In terms of build quality, it is excellent. The screen colors are satisfactory, and the crispness is also good. The screen is 144Hz with Variable Rate Refresh support, so it automatically adjusts the framerate via FreeSync to eliminate tearing. The VRR also helps with power consumption (fewer Hz, less power needed by the screen). The joysticks are of good quality, although I would have preferred them to be a bit sturdier (personal opinion). The shoulder buttons are clicky, and the triggers are sturdy with a nice return.
The sound is wonderful for handheld, both in terms of volume and quality. The Dolby Surround it has produces nice results in terms of spatial audio.
I got the machine because I often travel to my parents' house and got tired of carrying my desktop. I already have a work laptop and didn't want to buy another just to play games, so such a device was a good choice. I spent 80% of my time with it on PS2/PS3 emulation, which it handles excellently, even in its "Performance" preset, with upscaling to 1080p/1440p. Some PS3 games may require "Turbo" or even connecting it to power (which increases the maximum power it uses from 25 to 30W), but this depends on the implementation of the game's emulation. The rest of the time was spent on indie games, which it obviously runs wonderfully, and on some AAA games like Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk, which it plays quite satisfactorily at 720p/900p with FSR in performance mode while plugged in, averaging 10-15FPS above the Steam Deck. The screen size provides satisfactory pixel density even at 720p, so the fidelity is quite good. For its size and specs, it is truly incredible that you can play these games in your bed/couch.
Here it should be noted that I am talking about the Z1 Extreme version, not the version with the standard Z1. In general, I recommend spending a little more money and getting the Extreme; it has significant differences in performance and system efficiency that sometimes make certain games unplayable, playable.
Now for the negatives, aside from the battery (which isn't an issue if you're playing indoors, as you can have it plugged in), its storage space is small (500GB) and I would NOT recommend plugging in a memory card, as -as has been mentioned many times- the card slot is directly above the exhaust vent and the card may melt from the heat. Asus provides compensation if this happens, but it's better not to get involved... The SSD it has is swappable, but if you do it yourself, the warranty will cease to be valid, and you will also need to reinstall the Armory Crate firmware.
Overall, for the price I paid, I am very satisfied, and it does what it does very well. It certainly doesn't reach the performance of a budget desktop with a dedicated GPU, but for something that fits in your hands, you can't ask for much. As a backup for times when I'm away from home, at 500 euros, it's a no-brainer.

Το μέγεθος της οθόνης δίνει ικανοποιητικό pixel density ακόμα και σε 720p, οπότε το fidelity είναι αρκετά καλό. Για το μέγεθος του και τα specs του είναι πραγματικά απίστευτο το ότι μπορείς αν παίξεις αυτά τα παιχνίδια στο κρεβάτι/καναπέ σου.
Εδώ να σημειωθεί πως μιλάω για την Ζ1 Extreme έκδοση, όχι την έκδοση με τον απλό Ζ1. Γενικά, συστήνω να δώσετε κάποια παραπάνω λεφτά και να πάρετε τον Extreme, έχει μεγάλες διαφορές στην επίδοση και στην αποδοτικότητα του συστήματος που μερικές φορές κάνουν κάποια παιχνίδια απο unplayable, playable.
Στα αρνητικά τώρα, πέρα απο τη μπαταρία (που αν παίζετε εντός σπιτιού, δεν ειναι θέμα καθώς μπορείτε να το έχετε plugged in), ο αποθηκευτικός χώρος του είναι μικρός (500GB) και ΔΕΝ θα συνιστούσα να κουμπώσετε πάνω κάρτα μνήμης, καθώς -όπως έχει χιλιοαναφερθεί- το slot της κάρτας είναι ακριβώς πάνω απο exhaust vent και η κάρτα ενδέχεται να λιώσει απο τη θερμότητα. Η Asus δίνει αποζημείωση εφόσον αυτό συμβεί, αλλά καλύτερα να μη μπλέξετε... Ο SSD που έχει είναι swappable αλλά αν το κάνετε μόνοι σας η εγγύηση που έχει θα σταματήαει να ισχύει και επίσης θα χρειαστεί να ξαναπεράσετε πάνω το Armory Crate firmware.
Γενικά για τη τιμή που το πήρα έχω μείνει πολύ ευχαριστημένος και αυτά που κάνει τα κάνει πολύ καλά. Σίγουρα δε φτάνει τις επιδόσεις ενός budget desktop με dedicated GPU, αλλά για κάτι που χωράει στα χέρια σου δε μπορείς να ζητάς πολλά. Σαν backup για περιόδους που βρίσκομαι εκτός σπιτιού, στα 500 ευρώ, είναι μονόδρομος.
stay away from Asus. after 4 days of using quality usb cables for charging, it stopped charging. maybe 10/11 charges were done with the original charger and maybe one with a quality apple cable that has charged other devices for years without issue. the rog ally was purchased for €499 on black friday, and the repair cost for the scratching of the usb port was €603!!!!! in the end, I will fix it elsewhere and lose the warranty. Overall, a tragic representation and a vulnerable device. It's not worth the risk....
μακριά από Asus. μετά από 4 ημερες με χρήση ποιοτικων usb καλωδίων για φόρτιση, σταμάτησε να φορτίζει. ίσως 10/11 φορτισεις έγιναν με τον original charger και ίσως μια με ποιοτικό apple καλώδιο που φορτίζει χρόνια άλλες συσκευές χωρίς πρόβλημα. το rog ally αγοράστηκε 499€ σε black friday, και το κόστος επισκευής για το ξύσιμο της usb θύρας, ήταν 603€!!!!! τελικά θα το φτιάξω αλλού και θα χάσω την εγγύηση. Συνολικά τραγική αντιπρόσωπεια και ευαλωτο μηχάνημα. Δεν αξίζει το ρίσκο....
For those of you talking about the battery. It's not meant to be used without a power outlet anyway, it gives you a reasonable small autonomy like a regular GAMING laptop. You achieve the best performance when it's plugged in, as is logical. It's not a PSP, it's literally a handheld PC.

So for its price it's ok, it plays everything as long as you tweak the settings a bit. In terms of portability, it's the best for sure, definitely more convenient than a gaming laptop and it also has the advantage that you can add an external GPU for 2k and 4k gaming. On its own, it will play at 1080p and quite a lot on high and medium graphics. I use it as my main computer, I play my games, I do editing and it's just fine

I've had it for a year and a half, I decided to sell it... At first, it seems like a powerful machine for a portable console... but if you look at benchmarks of the integrated RDNA graphics card from AMD... you'll end up crying... 20-25 fps at best on medium low settings in general for all AAA games at 1080p.
Now, if you're more into light games, you won't have a problem...
I've noticed that the Mediatek wifi is problematic... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and you can't connect to wifi... more frustration here unless you don't mind playing your games offline on Steam.
The console doesn't have USB, HDMI ports etc... that's a big downside, because you have to buy a separate dock station, adapters, etc.
Personally, I got bored of the console and I'm selling it, the Rog Ally X is more of the same... except for the RAM memory.

Τωρα αν εισαι πιο light στα παιχνιδια δε θα εχεις προβλημα...
Εχω διαπιστωσει οτι το wifi Mediatek ειναι προβληματικο..μια λειτουργει , μια δε λειτουργει και δε μπορεις να συνδεθεις στο wifi...αλλο κλαμα απο δω εκτος κι αν δεν εχεις προβλημα να παιζεις offline τα παιχνιδια σου στο Steam.
Η κονσολα δεν εχει θυρες usb , hdmi κλπ..μεγαλο μειον αυτο , γιατι πρεπει να καθεσε να αγοραζεις ξεχωριστα dock station , ανταπτορες κλπ..
Προσωπικα εγω την κονσολα τη βαρεθηκα και τη πουλαω , το Rog ally X ειναι μια απ τα ιδια..αν εξαιρεσεις τη μνημη ραμ..

A quite quality and powerful handheld deck-like system. It is noticeably more powerful than the Steam Deck in terms of performance, but it significantly lags behind in terms of battery life. In "Turbo" mode, over a span of 3 months, I notice it lasts around 1 hour, while "Performance" lasts 1.5-2 hours depending on the game. In "Quiet" mode, it can reach 3 hours and more; however, this specific preset is only good for 2D games, old 3D games, or light emulation.
Windows 11 is clearly a worse operating system choice than SteamOS, but it offers better compatibility in general and can run programs and games that would either require a lot of tinkering on Linux or wouldn't work at all due to kernel-level anti-cheat. It includes Armory Crate SE, which is a suite of features such as custom control profiles, game library integration, and on-screen display (with a dedicated button on the console that opens it) that allows you to toggle things like power mode, desktop resolution, control mode (auto, gamepad, desktop), Radeon Super Resolution (driver-level FSR), AMD Fluid Motion Frames (driver-level frame gen), and more. Very useful and functional, with the only downside being that things like RSR, AFMF, and FPS limit require a game reset to function, which is not mentioned anywhere by Armory Crate.
In terms of build quality, it is excellent. The screen colors are satisfactory, and the crispness is also good. The screen is 144Hz with Variable Rate Refresh support, so it automatically adjusts the framerate via FreeSync to eliminate tearing. The VRR also helps with power consumption (fewer Hz, less power needed by the screen). The joysticks are of good quality, although I would have preferred them to be a bit sturdier (personal opinion). The shoulder buttons are clicky, and the triggers are sturdy with a nice return.
The sound is wonderful for handheld, both in terms of volume and quality. The Dolby Surround it has produces nice results in terms of spatial audio.
I got the machine because I often travel to my parents' house and got tired of carrying my desktop. I already have a work laptop and didn't want to buy another just to play games, so such a device was a good choice. I spent 80% of my time with it on PS2/PS3 emulation, which it handles excellently, even in its "Performance" preset, with upscaling to 1080p/1440p. Some PS3 games may require "Turbo" or even connecting it to power (which increases the maximum power it uses from 25 to 30W), but this depends on the implementation of the game's emulation. The rest of the time was spent on indie games, which it obviously runs wonderfully, and on some AAA games like Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk, which it plays quite satisfactorily at 720p/900p with FSR in performance mode while plugged in, averaging 10-15FPS above the Steam Deck. The screen size provides satisfactory pixel density even at 720p, so the fidelity is quite good. For its size and specs, it is truly incredible that you can play these games in your bed/couch.
Here it should be noted that I am talking about the Z1 Extreme version, not the version with the standard Z1. In general, I recommend spending a little more money and getting the Extreme; it has significant differences in performance and system efficiency that sometimes make certain games unplayable, playable.
Now for the negatives, aside from the battery (which isn't an issue if you're playing indoors, as you can have it plugged in), its storage space is small (500GB) and I would NOT recommend plugging in a memory card, as -as has been mentioned many times- the card slot is directly above the exhaust vent and the card may melt from the heat. Asus provides compensation if this happens, but it's better not to get involved... The SSD it has is swappable, but if you do it yourself, the warranty will cease to be valid, and you will also need to reinstall the Armory Crate firmware.
Overall, for the price I paid, I am very satisfied, and it does what it does very well. It certainly doesn't reach the performance of a budget desktop with a dedicated GPU, but for something that fits in your hands, you can't ask for much. As a backup for times when I'm away from home, at 500 euros, it's a no-brainer.

On the 7-inch screen, it feels like you're playing on a 2k monitor with high settings. You can't tell the difference.
It's quite fast in startup and loading times.
Compared to the Steam Deck, it's more comfortable to hold due to its size, weight, and thickness.
I like the Rogally much more, it runs everything without any adjustments.
Its weak point is the battery. It lasts for 50 minutes. So, either you stay plugged in or you buy a power bank.
Also, the Steam Deck is not silent. It wins in battery life but loses in fan noise.
To conclude, if you're into Steam games that it supports, go for the Steam Deck. But if you want everything, then the Rogally is the only way to go.

Στην οθονη 7 ιντσών ειναι λες και τα παιζεις σε monitor 2k και σε high settings . δεν καταλαβαινεις διαφορά.
ειναι αρκετα γρηγορο σε εκκινηση και loading times.
Σε σχεση με το steam deck ειναι πιο ευχάριστο στο κρατημα λογω μεγεθους βαρους και παχους .
Μου αρεσει πολυ περισσοτερο το rogally τρεχει τα παντα χωρις ρυθμισεις.
το αδυναμο σημειο του ειναι η μπαταρια . 50 λεπτα . οποτε η εισαι στο ρευμα η αγοραζεις παρεα και ενα power bank..
επισης δεν ειναι αθορυβο το steamdeck κερδιζει σε μπαταρια αλλα και σε θορυβο στροφων ανεμιστηρα..
Ολοκληρώνω αν εισαι steam games που τα υποστηριζει ομως το steam deck γιατι δεν τα υποστηρίζει ολα οπως το destiny δεν ειναι συμβατο τοτε παρε steam deck αν τα θες ολα τοτε μονοδρομος το rogally.

Για όσους ψάχνουν σταθερό υπολογιστή με λίγα χρήματα και να παίζουν τα πάντα, αυτό και ένα dock των 20ευρώ κάνει παπάδες. Η μπαταρία όντως είναι θέμα, κρατά μια ώρα πάνω κάτω στη μεσαία επιλογή το οποίο είναι και λογικό για τη δύναμη της συσκευής. Όντως χαλάει το σλοτ για της sd card αλλά ποιος θα βάλει sd? με τα ίδια λεφτά κάνεις upgrade τον σκληρό του δίσκο.

σαν γκάμερ εδώ και πολλά χρόνια από υπολογιστή δεν περίμενα ότι ένα τέτοιο μηχάνημα θα μπορεί να παίζει τα παιχνίδια τόσο καλά πολλά θετικά σαν κοσνόλα ας το πούμε έτσι πρακτικό τέρμα
ΑΛΛΆ να πάρουμε τα πράγματα όπως έχουν για αρχή η μπαταρία του δεν είναι καλή λογικό βέβαια τρέχοντας windows 11 και απετιτικά παιχνίδια παρόλα αυτά μια καλύτερη μπαταρία θα μποσούσε να το κάνει 10 φορές καλύτερο από ότι είναι όσο για το θέμα συνδέσεις σε τηλεωραση η ποιότητα παιχνιδιού και απόδοση πέφτει αρκετά συν το ότι χρειάζεσαι το ντεκ πληκτρολόγιο ποντίκη πράγματα τα οποία θα κοστίσουν να πας σε κάτι ποιοτικό ασύρματο οπότε το ολο σύνολο κοντεύει στα 1000 ευρώ που ξεφεύγει με λίγα λόγια μπορείς να έχεις έναν υπολογιστή τον 1000 ευρών που θα πέξεις πολύ καλύτερα αλλά δεν θα είναι φορητό.... σαν χρήστης 2 εβδομάδων παίζωντας σε αυτό έπρεπε να το φορτίσω αρκετές φορές την μέρα κάτι το οποίο σκέφτεσαι ότι ο μεγαλύτερος λόγος που το πείρα το ότι είναι φωρητο μπορείς να το έχεις μαζί σου σε ταξίδια βαζιζόμενος πάντα στο θέμα της μπαταρίας που λένε θα σου κρατήσει έως και 8 ώρες κάτι το οποίο δεν αληθεύει οπότε για κάποιον που θέλει να το αγοράσει να το υπολογίσει ότι το μεγαλύτερο αρνητικο του είναι η μπαταρία που για μένα ήταν το μόνο αρνητικό

Hello, I have the Asus for about a month. I have no words for how amazing this console is. As someone who has PS5, XSX, Nintendo Switch, I have put them aside and only play on the Asus. I have never had direct contact with games on PC and now I see the sweetness.
Positives: It runs heavy games like Cyberpunk, Starfield, Forspoken on low/medium graphics with very high sharpness and 1080p at 32 to 38 fps at 15W, and at 25W it runs at 40 to 45 fps without being plugged in, and at 30W with the charger it runs at 45 to 50 fps.
Negatives: The battery drains in AAA games in 1 to 1.30 hours at 25W, and at 15W it can last 2 to 2.5 hours.
So far, I haven't seen anything else in terms of software.
Finally, regarding the micro SD, I haven't dared to try putting it in because of the overheating issue and the possible alteration of the card and maybe a problem with the console itself.
For me, it's worth its money for anyone who doesn't want to spend money on two different consoles and wants a compact console with some compromises, it's perfect.
Καλησπέρα έχω το Asus περίπου ένα μήνα . Δεν έχω λόγια για το πόσο υπέροχη κονσόλα είναι . Σαν άνθρωπος που έχει PS5 , XSX, Nintendo switch τις έχω αφήσει στην άκρη και παίζω στο Asus μόνο . Δεν είχα ποτέ άμεση επαφή με games στο PC και τώρα βλέπω την γλύκα .
Θετικά: τρέχει βαριά παιχνίδια cyberpunk, starfield, forspoken σε low/med graphics με πολύ υψηλό sharpness και 1080p στα 32 με 38 fps στα 15W και στα 25w 40 με 45fps χωρίς να είναι στην πρίζα και στα 30w με charger 45 με 50 fps.
Αρνητικά: μπαταρία κλαίει σε AAA games 1 -1 .30 ώρα στα 25w
στα 15w 2 μπορεί και 2.5 ώρες .
Μέχρι τώρα δεν έχω δει κάτι άλλο από άποψη software .
Τέλος όσο αναφορά την micro sd δεν έχω τολμήσει να δοκιμάσω να βάλω για το θέμα του overheating και κατά συνέπεια την πιθανή αλλοίωση τις κάρτας και ίσως πρόβλημα στην κονσόλα την ίδια .
Για εμένα αξίζει τα λεφτά της για όποιον δεν θέλει να δώσει λεφτά για δύο διαφορετικές κονσόλες και θέλει μια compact κονσόλα με μερικούς συμβιβασμούς είναι ότι πρέπει.
Purchase from Plaisio, I am very satisfied. A mid-range laptop that plays many games. Fast. We did a BIOS upgrade in general. Asus is top, it has support! Quality keys that don't creak like on the Switch. Solid construction with nice lighting. It surpasses Steam. Worth every euro. One thing to know is that the SD card function didn't work even once. I took it to the service center and they fixed this issue quickly! Upgrades were made after months. 1TB 2280 SSD, transparent back. With LED decor RGB and USB-C. What can I say, the Lenovo Go is like a slipper for the beach, I'm waiting for the Asus ROG X, it's coming very strong.
Αγορά από το πλαίσιο είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένος αντικαθιστά. Ένα laptop mid rage παιζει παρά πολλά παιχνίδια. Ταχύτατο. Κάνουμε 322 ανάβαθμιση στο bios γενικά. Η asus είναι κορυφή έχει υποστήριξη ! Ποιοτικά πλήκτρα δεν τρίζουν όπως στο switch φωτισμός ντουκι στηβαρη κατασκευή Το steam το ξεπερνά. Αξιζει κάθε ευρώ.ενα θέμα να ξέρετε είναι η λειτουργία τις card sd δεν λειτούργησε ούτε 1 φωρα. Πήγε στην αντιπροσωπία και το φιαξαν το θέμα αυτό γρήγορα !!! Αναβαθμίσεις που έγιναν μετά από μήνες. 1tb 2280 ssd jaux πλάτη διαφανές. Με led decor rgb usb c τι να μας πει το Lenovo go παντόφλα για την παραλία είναι περιμένω το asus ally rog X έρχεται πολύ δυνατό.
I believe that the console is worth every euro that ASUS asks for!!
- It plays everything from emulators to FORZA HORIZON 5 and BALDURS GATE 3 without lag and with amazing graphics and sound quality!!!
- The ARMOURY CRATE + Command Center is simply... you have to work with them to "feel" their value!!!
- The controller needs remapping to play certain games like MAME, Crash Bandicoot, but this doesn't take away from the quality and "value" of the console as it can be easily done through the options of each game!!!
- The only negative is the battery as most of the time, after about an hour or so, it needs to be plugged in to play...
- I will try other emulators-games and I will come back!!!
So far, I am completely satisfied!!
Some games I tried:
- Baldurs Gate 3 is simply IMPRESSIVE!!
- FH5, you can't tell if you're playing on the SERIES X or the ALLY.
- TEKKEN 7, and here... you can't tell if you're playing on the SERIES X or the ALLY!!
- F1 22, the graphics and gameplay are great, but the sound sounds a bit "broken".
- OUTRUN 2006 COAST 2 COAST... You just have to see it and play it if you're a fan of arcades!!!
- DIRT 2.0, and here I have no words, while if you "play" with the Operating Mode in combination with the ALLY on a socket, the results are impressive!!
Η κονσολα ΘΕΩΡΩ οτι αξιζει καθε ευρω που ζηταει η ASUS!!
-Παιζει τα παντα απο emulators μεχρι FORZA HORIZON 5 και BALDURS GATE 3 χωρις να κολλαει και με καταπληκτικη ποιοτητα στα γραφικα και στον ηχο!!!
-Το ARMOURY CRATE + Command Center απλα.....πρεπει να τα δουλεψετε για να "νοιωσετε" την αξια τους!!!
-Το χειριστηριο του θελει remapping για να παιξει καποια παιχνιδια πχ MAME, Crash Bandicoot αλλα αυτο δεν αφαιρει απο την ποιοτητα και την "αξια" της κονσολας καθως γινεται πολυ ευκολα μεσα απο τα OPTIONS του καθε παιχνιδιου!!!
-Το μονο αρνητικο ειναι η μπαταρια του καθως την περισσοτερη ωρα, μετα την περιπου μια ωρα και κατι που "κραταει", για να παιξετε θα χρειαζεστε στανταρ μια πριζα κοντα σας....
-Θα δοκιμασω και αλλους emulators-games και θα επανελθω!!!
Μεχρι στιγμης ειμαι απολυτα ικανοποιημενος!!

Having the OneXPlayer 6800U as a benchmark, I will comment on the following.
The build quality could be slightly better, as the plastic seems of lower quality compared to the OneXPlayer.
The screen quality and brightness are the same, with the difference being that the Asus can go up to 120Hz instead of 60.
Battery-wise, expect around 1.5 hours of duration with the performance profile and 2+ hours with the 10W profile for retro gaming, movies, etc.
The latest firmware and software updates fixed the minor issues that existed.
For most people who don't have a benchmark for comparison, I believe they will be satisfied.
Now, for those who have a Steamdeck, OneXPlayer, Aya Neo, GPD, Aokzoe A1, etc., they will definitely see both positives and negatives.
The biggest positive is the price for the device's performance and screen quality.
Being able to play Diablo 4 with a mix of medium/low graphics at 80fps, I don't think any other handheld console can achieve that.
Update: The console received firmware 323, and the FPS in games increased with the exact same settings. It plays flawlessly at 15W for Nintendo Switch emulation and can go up to 30W in dock mode. With the latest firmware, it now supports aftermarket chargers and docks from 65W and above.

Έχοντας το OneXPlayer 6800U σαν μετρο σύγκρισης θα σχολιάσω τα παρακάτω.
Θα μπορούσε η ποιότητα κατασκευής να είναι λίγο καλύτερη, το πλαστικό μου φαίνεται χαμηλότερης ποιότητας απο το OneXPlayer.
Οθόνη ποιότητα και φωτεινότητα ίδια, με την διαφορά οτι το asus μπορεί να πάει μεχρι 120hz αντι 60.
Μπαταρία να περιμένετε πανω κατω 1μιση ωρα διάρκεια εαν βάλετε προφιλ performance και 2ωρες+ με 10w profile για retro gaming, ταινιες κτλ.
Τα τελευταία firmware και software updates εφτιαξαν τα μικροθεματακια που υπηρχαν.
Για τους περισσότερους που δεν έχουν μέτρο σύγκρισης πιστεύω οτι θα μείνουν ευχαριστημένοι.
Τώρα όσοι έχουν steamdeck, OneXPlayer, aya neo, GPD, aokzoe A1 κτλ, σίγουρα θα δουν θετικά και αρνητικά.
Το μεγαλύτερο θετικό είναι η τιμή για την αποδοση της συσκευής και την ποιότητα της οθόνης.
Το ότι μπορείς να παίξεις diablo4 με μιξη medium/low γραφικά με 80fps δεν νομίζω να μπορεί να το καταφέρει άλλη κονσόλα χειρός
Update: Η κονσόλα πηρε το firmware 323, ανεβηκαν τα fps στα παιχνιδια με τις ίδιες ακριβώς ρυθμίσεις. Παίζει άψογα στα 15w Nintendo switch emulation και μπορεί να πάει μέχρι και 30w σε dock mode. Πλέον με το τελευταίο firmware υποστηρίζει aftermarket φορτιστές και docks απο 65w και πάνω.

So for its price it's ok, it plays everything as long as you tweak the settings a bit. In terms of portability, it's the best for sure, definitely more convenient than a gaming laptop and it also has the advantage that you can add an external GPU for 2k and 4k gaming. On its own, it will play at 1080p and quite a lot on high and medium graphics. I use it as my main computer, I play my games, I do editing and it's just fine

I've had it for a year and a half, I decided to sell it... At first, it seems like a powerful machine for a portable console... but if you look at benchmarks of the integrated RDNA graphics card from AMD... you'll end up crying... 20-25 fps at best on medium low settings in general for all AAA games at 1080p.
Now, if you're more into light games, you won't have a problem...
I've noticed that the Mediatek wifi is problematic... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and you can't connect to wifi... more frustration here unless you don't mind playing your games offline on Steam.
The console doesn't have USB, HDMI ports etc... that's a big downside, because you have to buy a separate dock station, adapters, etc.
Personally, I got bored of the console and I'm selling it, the Rog Ally X is more of the same... except for the RAM memory.

Εχω διαπιστωσει οτι το wifi Mediatek ειναι προβληματικο..μια λειτουργει , μια δε λειτουργει και δε μπορεις να συνδεθεις στο wifi...αλλο κλαμα απο δω εκτος κι αν δεν εχεις προβλημα να παιζεις offline τα παιχνιδια σου στο Steam.
Η κονσολα δεν εχει θυρες usb , hdmi κλπ..μεγαλο μειον αυτο , γιατι πρεπει να καθεσε να αγοραζεις ξεχωριστα dock station , ανταπτορες κλπ..
Προσωπικα εγω την κονσολα τη βαρεθηκα και τη πουλαω , το Rog ally X ειναι μια απ τα ιδια..αν εξαιρεσεις τη μνημη ραμ..

A quite quality and powerful handheld deck-like system. It is noticeably more powerful than the Steam Deck in terms of performance, but it significantly lags behind in terms of battery life. In "Turbo" mode, over a span of 3 months, I notice it lasts around 1 hour, while "Performance" lasts 1.5-2 hours depending on the game. In "Quiet" mode, it can reach 3 hours and more; however, this specific preset is only good for 2D games, old 3D games, or light emulation.
Windows 11 is clearly a worse operating system choice than SteamOS, but it offers better compatibility in general and can run programs and games that would either require a lot of tinkering on Linux or wouldn't work at all due to kernel-level anti-cheat. It includes Armory Crate SE, which is a suite of features such as custom control profiles, game library integration, and on-screen display (with a dedicated button on the console that opens it) that allows you to toggle things like power mode, desktop resolution, control mode (auto, gamepad, desktop), Radeon Super Resolution (driver-level FSR), AMD Fluid Motion Frames (driver-level frame gen), and more. Very useful and functional, with the only downside being that things like RSR, AFMF, and FPS limit require a game reset to function, which is not mentioned anywhere by Armory Crate.
In terms of build quality, it is excellent. The screen colors are satisfactory, and the crispness is also good. The screen is 144Hz with Variable Rate Refresh support, so it automatically adjusts the framerate via FreeSync to eliminate tearing. The VRR also helps with power consumption (fewer Hz, less power needed by the screen). The joysticks are of good quality, although I would have preferred them to be a bit sturdier (personal opinion). The shoulder buttons are clicky, and the triggers are sturdy with a nice return.
The sound is wonderful for handheld, both in terms of volume and quality. The Dolby Surround it has produces nice results in terms of spatial audio.
I got the machine because I often travel to my parents' house and got tired of carrying my desktop. I already have a work laptop and didn't want to buy another just to play games, so such a device was a good choice. I spent 80% of my time with it on PS2/PS3 emulation, which it handles excellently, even in its "Performance" preset, with upscaling to 1080p/1440p. Some PS3 games may require "Turbo" or even connecting it to power (which increases the maximum power it uses from 25 to 30W), but this depends on the implementation of the game's emulation. The rest of the time was spent on indie games, which it obviously runs wonderfully, and on some AAA games like Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk, which it plays quite satisfactorily at 720p/900p with FSR in performance mode while plugged in, averaging 10-15FPS above the Steam Deck. The screen size provides satisfactory pixel density even at 720p, so the fidelity is quite good. For its size and specs, it is truly incredible that you can play these games in your bed/couch.
Here it should be noted that I am talking about the Z1 Extreme version, not the version with the standard Z1. In general, I recommend spending a little more money and getting the Extreme; it has significant differences in performance and system efficiency that sometimes make certain games unplayable, playable.
Now for the negatives, aside from the battery (which isn't an issue if you're playing indoors, as you can have it plugged in), its storage space is small (500GB) and I would NOT recommend plugging in a memory card, as -as has been mentioned many times- the card slot is directly above the exhaust vent and the card may melt from the heat. Asus provides compensation if this happens, but it's better not to get involved... The SSD it has is swappable, but if you do it yourself, the warranty will cease to be valid, and you will also need to reinstall the Armory Crate firmware.
Overall, for the price I paid, I am very satisfied, and it does what it does very well. It certainly doesn't reach the performance of a budget desktop with a dedicated GPU, but for something that fits in your hands, you can't ask for much. As a backup for times when I'm away from home, at 500 euros, it's a no-brainer.

Περιλαμβάνει το Armory Crate SE το οποίο είναι μια σουίτα απο features όπως custom control profiles, game library integration και on-screen display (με dedicated κουμπί στη κονσόλα που το ανοίγει) το οποίο σε αφήνει να κάνεις toggle πράγματα όπως το power mode, ανάλυση desktop, control mode (auto, gamepad, desktop), Radeon Super Resolution (driver level FSR), AMD Fluid Motion Frames (driver level frame gen) και άλλα. Πολύ χρήσιμο και λειτουργικό, με μόνο αρνητικό ότι πραγματα όπως το RSR, το AFMF και το FPS limit χρειάζονται reset του game για να λειτουργήσουν, το οποίο δεν αναφέρεται πουθενά απο το Armory Crate.
Απο θέμα κατασκευαστικής ποιότητας είναι άριστο. Τα χρώματα της οθόνης είναι ικανοποιητικά και το crispness επίσης. Η οθόνη ειναι 144Hz με Variable Rate Refresh support, οπότε κάνει αυτόματα adjust στο framerate μέσω FreeSync για εξάληψη του tearing. Το VRR επίσης βοηθάει στη κατανάλωση ρεύματος (λιγότερα Hz, λιγότερο ρεύμα που χρειάζετε η οθόνη). Τα joystick είναι ποιοτικά αν και θα τα ήθελα λιγο πιο στηβαρά (προσωπική άποψη). Τα shoulder buttons είναι clicky και τα triggers ειναι στηβαρα με ωραία επιστροφή.
Ο ήχος είναι υπέροχος για handheld, τόσο σε θέμα έντασης όσο και ποιότητας. Το Dolby Surround που έχουν έχει ωραία αποτελέσματα σε θέματα spatial audio.
Το μηχάνημα το πήρα διότι κάνω συχνά ταξίδια στο πατρικό μου και είχα βαρεθεί να κουβαλάω το desktop μου. Έχω ήδη λαπτοπ δουλειάς και δεν ήθελα να πάρω και άλλο απλά για να παίζω games, οπότε μια τέτοια συσκευή ήταν καλή επιλογή. Το 80% του χρόνο μαζί του το πέρασα με PS2/PS3 emulation, στο οποίο ανταπεξέρχεται υπερόχα, ακόμα και στο "Performance" preset του, με upscaling σε 1080p/1440p. Μερικά παιχνίδια του PS3 ενδέχεται να χρειαστούν το "Turbo" ή ακόμα και να το συνδέσετε στο ρεύμα (το οποίο μεγαλώνει το μέγιστο ρεύμα που χρησιμοποιεί απο 25 σε 30W), αλλά αυτό έχει να κάνει με την υλοποίηση του emulation του παιχνιδιού. Το υπόλοιπο κομμάτι το πέρασα με indie games, τα οποία τρέχει -εννοείται- υπέροχα και με μερικά AAA games όπως Witcher 3 και Cyberpunk, τα οποία τα πάιζει πολύ ικανοποιητικά σε 720p/900p με FSR σε performance όσο είναι plugged in, με μέσο όρο 10-15FPS πάνω απο το Steam Deck. Το μέγεθος της οθόνης δίνει ικανοποιητικό pixel density ακόμα και σε 720p, οπότε το fidelity είναι αρκετά καλό. Για το μέγεθος του και τα specs του είναι πραγματικά απίστευτο το ότι μπορείς αν παίξεις αυτά τα παιχνίδια στο κρεβάτι/καναπέ σου.
Εδώ να σημειωθεί πως μιλάω για την Ζ1 Extreme έκδοση, όχι την έκδοση με τον απλό Ζ1. Γενικά, συστήνω να δώσετε κάποια παραπάνω λεφτά και να πάρετε τον Extreme, έχει μεγάλες διαφορές στην επίδοση και στην αποδοτικότητα του συστήματος που μερικές φορές κάνουν κάποια παιχνίδια απο unplayable, playable.
Στα αρνητικά τώρα, πέρα απο τη μπαταρία (που αν παίζετε εντός σπιτιού, δεν ειναι θέμα καθώς μπορείτε να το έχετε plugged in), ο αποθηκευτικός χώρος του είναι μικρός (500GB) και ΔΕΝ θα συνιστούσα να κουμπώσετε πάνω κάρτα μνήμης, καθώς -όπως έχει χιλιοαναφερθεί- το slot της κάρτας είναι ακριβώς πάνω απο exhaust vent και η κάρτα ενδέχεται να λιώσει απο τη θερμότητα. Η Asus δίνει αποζημείωση εφόσον αυτό συμβεί, αλλά καλύτερα να μη μπλέξετε... Ο SSD που έχει είναι swappable αλλά αν το κάνετε μόνοι σας η εγγύηση που έχει θα σταματήαει να ισχύει και επίσης θα χρειαστεί να ξαναπεράσετε πάνω το Armory Crate firmware.
Γενικά για τη τιμή που το πήρα έχω μείνει πολύ ευχαριστημένος και αυτά που κάνει τα κάνει πολύ καλά. Σίγουρα δε φτάνει τις επιδόσεις ενός budget desktop με dedicated GPU, αλλά για κάτι που χωράει στα χέρια σου δε μπορείς να ζητάς πολλά. Σαν backup για περιόδους που βρίσκομαι εκτός σπιτιού, στα 500 ευρώ, είναι μονόδρομος.
stay away from Asus. after 4 days of using quality usb cables for charging, it stopped charging. maybe 10/11 charges were done with the original charger and maybe one with a quality apple cable that has charged other devices for years without issue. the rog ally was purchased for €499 on black friday, and the repair cost for the scratching of the usb port was €603!!!!! in the end, I will fix it elsewhere and lose the warranty. Overall, a tragic representation and a vulnerable device. It's not worth the risk....
μακριά από Asus. μετά από 4 ημερες με χρήση ποιοτικων usb καλωδίων για φόρτιση, σταμάτησε να φορτίζει. ίσως 10/11 φορτισεις έγιναν με τον original charger και ίσως μια με ποιοτικό apple καλώδιο που φορτίζει χρόνια άλλες συσκευές χωρίς πρόβλημα. το rog ally αγοράστηκε 499€ σε black friday, και το κόστος επισκευής για το ξύσιμο της usb θύρας, ήταν 603€!!!!! τελικά θα το φτιάξω αλλού και θα χάσω την εγγύηση. Συνολικά τραγική αντιπρόσωπεια και ευαλωτο μηχάνημα. Δεν αξίζει το ρίσκο....
For those of you talking about the battery. It's not meant to be used without a power outlet anyway, it gives you a reasonable small autonomy like a regular GAMING laptop. You achieve the best performance when it's plugged in, as is logical. It's not a PSP, it's literally a handheld PC.
Για όσους λέτε για την μπαταρία. Δεν είναι για να παίζεις χωρίς πρίζα έτσι και αλλιώς, σ δίνει μία λογική μικρή αυτονομία σαν ένα κανονικό GAMING laptop. Την καλύτερη απόδοση την πετυχαίνεις όταν το έχεις στο ρεύμα όπως και είναι λογικό. Δεν είναι PSP είναι κυριολεκτικά handheld PC.
