Extremely fair for its price. Yes, there is a noticeable loss of quality, but it does its job, plug and play on Windows 11.

It also comes with software, which I found unnecessary (on DVD, that is), because it is meant to burn the contents of the cassette to DVD (it also includes Adobe Acrobat in an ancient version, also unnecessary). At this point, I should say that in the instructions provided, in the screenshots you will also find the serial number it asks for.

I used it with OBS, added camera display and selected the device (av usb 2.0 or something similar), works perfectly. If someone wants better quality, they should go to a photo studio, I think this is as good as it gets and for €7 it is perfect.

My camera is a Sony Handycam with miniDV from the early 2000s

The official software from the company is not necessary (they provide it on a CD with the serial number printed on it, and it is also available on the internet archive). With a connection to a Windows 10 computer, it was recognized immediately without me having to install anything. Then in OBS, I was able to add it as a Video Capture Device "AV TO USB 2.0" and record within OBS. This way, I was able to digitize some analog tapes from a camcorder.

It works but with a noticeable deterioration in image quality. It also adds annoying artifacts to the sound and image at times, depending on its hours of use.

While I paid for it, it asks me for a serial number which is not in the packaging, so I cannot operate it.

It never worked, I couldn't do my job, I will have to look for something more reliable, fortunately I'm not in a hurry, I will search much more carefully for something good and not so cheap and Chinese.

Very bad, worse than the image quality of the hi8 tapes that I converted, of course with their own program, not by any means. It is better to use another program

Easy Cap says and shows but when you buy it, you receive a knock-off brand of Easy Cap (it may depend on which store you order it from). Very poor quality in sound and video. The funny thing is that I bought it knowing that it would have very bad results, but I didn't expect them to be so bad... to the point where you don't want to use it.

Maybe I didn't understand the description of this product, or maybe the description was somewhat misleading and made me think that I could use this product with a video camera. But that wasn't the case. I only have a video camera and I wanted to use it for this conversion job to external support (pc, USB). Unfortunately, I couldn't use it and I bought it for nothing. Waste of money.

It delivers what it promises and in satisfactory quality, although the source is good. The Capture program is both an editing tool and it helps a lot in creating decent out-of-the-box videos

I can assure you that those who have a problem with its functionality, you can use OBS. It even caught a PCI card of similar work to this one, which is at least 25 years old.

Watermelon is rubbish, it doesn't work with Windows 10. It works with Windows 7, but still, I am not satisfied. The company doesn't provide new drivers, and you have to pay for the new program

I give it 3 stars because:
- You must definitely insert the mini CD in order to install the drivers, and it also requires a serial number (I find it tragic that a capture device requires its own drivers and a serial number...)
- Its own software unfortunately has poor deinterlacing (it blends)
- For better results, it is better to use Powercinema or obs, where you have the option to choose the deinterlacing method (you can leave it native with lines if you prefer)

It distorts the colors of the video and also has issues with the sound. It works fine for a while and then it starts showing horizontal colored lines in black and white footage on its own. I have tried it on multiple computers and with different programs, but it only creates problems on its own. It's a shame

I bought the Easy CAP USB 2.0 two weeks ago. I transferred old videos from a Hi-8 cassette camera to my Windows 10 computer. It was easy, fast, and effective. Of course, I haven't done the final editing and saved it to a CD or flash drive yet, but I don't think I will have a problem. I highly recommend it!

I don't know if there are compatibility issues, but I couldn't manage to make a proper copy with various software. Either it wouldn't record the sound or the video, or it would have interruptions.

In Windows 7, it is plug and play without any hassle. For the price of 11€, it is SUPER (don't expect elgato quality at this price range)
