Koolasuchus of Cleland, the first prehistoric amphibian presented by CollectA. Koolasuchus was the last species of temnospondyl amphibians, it was the size of a modern alligator and lived in the rushing rivers of Australia during the early Cretaceous period.
As it was an ambush predator, the chosen coloration would help it as camouflage while lurking hidden in the aquatic vegetation.
Its mouth was huge, half a meter in diameter, with sharp teeth of various sizes. When it grabbed its prey, which likely included small dinosaurs bending down to drink water, the prey had no means of escape.
