Pangolins, also known as scaly anteaters, are one of the most bizarre mammals in the animal kingdom. They are covered all over with scales, carry their young on their backs, and curl into a "ball" when attacked or threatened. The pangolin lives in savannas, forests, and grasslands in Asia and Africa. Unfortunately, they are among the most trafficked animals and are therefore classified as endangered species.
