    I love cast iron - and back in Canada, used Lodge skillets and dutch ovens to cook with so was very happy to be able to order this here in Greece. As with any good quality cast iron piece, you will find it heavy, however, food tastes better when cooked in cast iron.

    The Lodge products can always benefit from a couple of seasonings before using. This particular size of dutch oven I even bake some versions of bread in it. As far as cleaning, all cast iron is best cleaned while still hot and a good stiff brush is used.
