I have had this specific hard drive in the 2 terabyte version for 4-5 years. Its build quality is very good. I have not mishandled it, even though it is for this job, it seems to withstand drops and there were videos on YouTube showing how the casing is constructed to protect the disk. Since I only wanted it for backup files, I wanted my backups to be protected from all sides, and that was the reason I chose this one.
Now, in terms of speed, it is average.

Η ποιότητα κατασκευής του είναι πάρα πολύ καλή. δεν τον έχω κακομεταχειριστεί αν και είναι για αυτή τη δουλειά, δείχνει να αντέχει σε πεσίματα και παλιότερα τουλάχιστον υπήρχαν και βίντεο στο YouTube το πως είναι κατασκευασμένο το κέλυφος ώστε να προστατεύεται ο δίσκος και μιας και τον ήθελα μόνο για backup αρχεία ήθελα να έχω προστατευμένα τα backup μου από όλες τις πλευρές και ήταν ο λόγος που επέλεξα τον συγκεκριμένο.
Τώρα από πλευράς ταχυτήτων είναι μέτριος.
Δεν μου δημιούργησε ποτέ πρόβλημα, όπου και όποτε τον έχω συνδέσει οπουδήποτε ανταπεξήλθε πάντα πάρα πολύ ικανοποιητικά . Εάν θα έπρεπε ντε και καλά να βρω ένα μειονέκτημα του αυτό θα ήταν το εξής, κάθε φορά που συνδέεται ο δίσκος με οποιονδήποτε υπολογιστή θέλει ίσως 5 με 10 δευτερόλεπτα παραπάνω για να ανοίξει ο file manager του κάθε υπολογιστή. Για μένα όμως δεν είναι κανένα πρόβλημα αυτό μιας και μπορώ να εμπιστευτώ σε αυτόν το δίσκο τα backup μιας ολόκληρης ζωής.
Όλοι όμως ξέρουμε ότι κάθε δίσκος όσο καλός και να ναι έχει ένα όριο ζωής οπότε για αυτό αγόρασα και έναν δεύτερο σκληρό δίσκο και για να μου βγει πιο οικονομικός αγόρασα τον toshiba canvio και ήταν από τις χειρότερες αγορές που έχω κάνει και τον έχω αξιολογησει με τα χειρότερα σχόλια.
Μόλις μπορέσω θα ξαναγοράσω το transcent με τα 4 tb.

I wanted a durable disk for everyday transportation in my backpack (which I don't handle very "gently", and sometimes contains sharp objects (screwdrivers), liquids, etc.), and moreover at a low price due to a reduced budget. Its price is very reasonable and equivalent to disks with the same characteristics but without the durable construction of Transcend. The only drawback I have noticed is that the disk's port for the cable is rather loose, causing the cable to easily detach from the disk's side. This just requires a little attention.

Όντως ο Transcend έχει αρκετά ανθεκτικό περίβλημα - πλαστικό και με λάστιχο εξωτερικά - που βοηθά σε αυτήν την κατεύθυνση.
Η τιμή του είναι πολύ λογική και αντίστοιχη δίσκων με τα ίδια χαρακτηριστικά αλλά χωρίς την ανθεκτική κατασκευή του Transcend. Το μόνο μειονέκτημα που έχω διαπιστώσει είναι ότι η υποδοχή του δίσκου για το καλώδιο είναι μάλλον χαλαρή, με αποτέλεσμα το καλώδιο να φεύγει σχετικά εύκολα από την πλευρά του δίσκου. Αυτό χρειάζεται απλά λίγη προσοχή.
Γενικά είναι τίμιο προϊόν και αξίζει τα χρήματά του.

The only drawback I have noticed is that the disk's port for the cable is rather loose, causing the cable to easily detach from the disk's side. This just requires a little attention.
Overall, it is a reliable product and worth its money.
Έχω το συγκεκριμένο δίσκο εδώ και περίπου 1 χρόνο και είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένος. Ήθελα έναν ανθεκτικό δίσκο για καθημερινή μεταφορά στο σακίδιό μου (το οποίο δεν μεταχειρίζομαι πολύ "ευγενικά", και περιέχει κατά καιρούς αιχμηρά αντικείμενα (κατσαβίδια), υγρά κλπ. - ), και μάλιστα σε χαμηλή τιμή λόγω μειωμένου budget. Όντως ο Transcend έχει αρκετά ανθεκτικό περίβλημα - πλαστικό και με λάστιχο εξωτερικά - που βοηθά σε αυτήν την κατεύθυνση.
Η τιμή του είναι πολύ λογική και αντίστοιχη δίσκων με τα ίδια χαρακτηριστικά αλλά χωρίς την ανθεκτική κατασκευή του Transcend. Το μόνο μειονέκτημα που έχω διαπιστώσει είναι ότι η υποδοχή του δίσκου για το καλώδιο είναι μάλλον χαλαρή, με αποτέλεσμα το καλώδιο να φεύγει σχετικά εύκολα από την πλευρά του δίσκου. Αυτό χρειάζεται απλά λίγη προσοχή.
Γενικά είναι τίμιο προϊόν και αξίζει τα χρήματά του.
I have had these specific durable models from Transcend for many years and they all work perfectly. Good speeds without being impressive, excellent build quality, exceptional durability. Any other external drive I had from so long ago has broken down (Toshiba, WD, Seagate). I highly recommend it (I also have this specific model).

I have had this specific hard drive in the 2 terabyte version for 4-5 years. Its build quality is very good. I have not mishandled it, even though it is for this job, it seems to withstand drops and there were videos on YouTube showing how the casing is constructed to protect the disk. Since I only wanted it for backup files, I wanted my backups to be protected from all sides, and that was the reason I chose this one.
Now, in terms of speed, it is average.
It has never caused me any problems, whenever and wherever I have connected it, it has always performed very satisfactorily. If I had to find one disadvantage, it would be the following: every time the disk is connected to any computer, it takes maybe 5 to 10 seconds longer for the file manager of each computer to open. But for me, this is not a problem since I can trust this disk with the backups of a lifetime.
However, we all know that every disk, no matter how good it is, has a lifespan limit, so that's why I bought a second hard drive, and to make it more economical, I bought the Toshiba Canvio, which turned out to be one of the worst purchases I have made and I have evaluated it with the worst comments.
As soon as I can, I will buy the Transcend with 4 TB again.

Two months ago, I bought and started using this specific disk with a capacity of 4 terabytes, and once again, I consider it one of my best purchases! It has USB 3.1, it is very fast, and I will trust the files that are very important to me once again on this disk!
Έχω τον συγκεκριμένο σκληρό δίσκο στην έκδοση 2 terabyte εδώ και 4-5 χρόνια. Η ποιότητα κατασκευής του είναι πάρα πολύ καλή. δεν τον έχω κακομεταχειριστεί αν και είναι για αυτή τη δουλειά, δείχνει να αντέχει σε πεσίματα και παλιότερα τουλάχιστον υπήρχαν και βίντεο στο YouTube το πως είναι κατασκευασμένο το κέλυφος ώστε να προστατεύεται ο δίσκος και μιας και τον ήθελα μόνο για backup αρχεία ήθελα να έχω προστατευμένα τα backup μου από όλες τις πλευρές και ήταν ο λόγος που επέλεξα τον συγκεκριμένο.
Τώρα από πλευράς ταχυτήτων είναι μέτριος.
Δεν μου δημιούργησε ποτέ πρόβλημα, όπου και όποτε τον έχω συνδέσει οπουδήποτε ανταπεξήλθε πάντα πάρα πολύ ικανοποιητικά . Εάν θα έπρεπε ντε και καλά να βρω ένα μειονέκτημα του αυτό θα ήταν το εξής, κάθε φορά που συνδέεται ο δίσκος με οποιονδήποτε υπολογιστή θέλει ίσως 5 με 10 δευτερόλεπτα παραπάνω για να ανοίξει ο file manager του κάθε υπολογιστή. Για μένα όμως δεν είναι κανένα πρόβλημα αυτό μιας και μπορώ να εμπιστευτώ σε αυτόν το δίσκο τα backup μιας ολόκληρης ζωής.
Όλοι όμως ξέρουμε ότι κάθε δίσκος όσο καλός και να ναι έχει ένα όριο ζωής οπότε για αυτό αγόρασα και έναν δεύτερο σκληρό δίσκο και για να μου βγει πιο οικονομικός αγόρασα τον toshiba canvio και ήταν από τις χειρότερες αγορές που έχω κάνει και τον έχω αξιολογησει με τα χειρότερα σχόλια.
Μόλις μπορέσω θα ξαναγοράσω το transcent με τα 4 tb.

εδώ και δύο μήνες αγόρασα και χρησιμοποιώ το συγκεκριμένο δίσκο μετά 4 terabyte χωρητικότητα και για μία ακόμα φορά θεωρώ ότι είναι από τις καλύτερες μου αγορές! έχει USB 3.1 είναι πολύ γρήγορος και θα εμπιστευτώ τα αρχεία που είναι πάρα πολύ σημαντικά για μένα για ακόμα μία φορά σε αυτόν τον δίσκο!
I do not use the disk professionally. For the work I need it for, it works very well, meaning file transfer to and from it. The recommendation to purchase it was made by a friend who has tried it and pushed it to its limits (externally)
Δεν χρησιμοποιώ τον δίσκο επαγγελματικά. Για την δουλειά που τον χρειάζομαι δείχνει πολύ καλός, δηλαδή μεταφορά αρχείων από και προς αυτόν. Η σύσταση για την αγορά του έγινε από φίλο ο οποίος τον έχει δοκιμάσει και φτάνοντας στα όρια του (εξωτερικά)

The program that was inside the hard drive for converting the format to FAT32 (StoreJet Toolbox) did not work because it did not recognize the hard drive. I returned it and have been waiting for a response for three weeks, even though I paid 110 euros and I cannot do my job. Το προγραμμα που ειχε μέσα του ο σκληρός για μετατροπή του φορματ σε fat 32 το (StoreJet Toolbox) δεν δούλευε γιατί δεν αναγνώριζε τον σκληρό). Tον γύρισα έτσι πίσω και αναμένω απάντηση εδω και τρείς εβδομάδες, ενω έχω πληρώσει 110 ευρω δε έχω να κάνω την δουλειά μου, παρολο σε άλλους παλιούς τρανσεντ που ειχα εχω βάλει άριστη βαθμολογιά σε αυτον βαζω 1 αστερι...και άκόμη αναμένω.
