    The flip-up helmet is also known as "modular" or openable because the front part of the helmet can be lifted. It is relatively heavier, bulkier, and a safer helmet compared to the Jet helmet.

Uvex no longer makes helmets, but I still kept it after 21 years; I’m not throwing it away. I use it to go to work, so I don’t care if it gets scratched, and I have the good one for the rest of my rides. I mean, after 20 years you would expect the helmet materials to have advanced in technology so it wouldn’t be so heavy. The helmet is not light. That is the downside. Carbon fiber, yes, but the weight is real.

The Sound of Silence

The Schuberth C5 confirms its leading position in terms of aeroacoustic comfort with only 85 dB(A) at 100 km/h. Thanks to the internal aerodynamic tunnel, it has optimized every single element in aeroacoustic comfort both inside and outside the helmet.

Communication System

Extremely easy to install, configure, and use, the SC2 sets a new standard for motorcycle communication. The HD speakers and three antennas for FM radio, Bluetooth intercom, and mesh intercom are already pre-installed in the Schuberth C5

Chinbar

The Schuberth C5 introduces a dual chin air intake featuring a washable and exchangeable filter for proper breathing while riding in extreme conditions. The buttons offer easy adjustment of the variable control front air vent.
