The book Children and Adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Modern Research Data and Therapeutic Interventions addresses contemporary issues at the level of diagnosis, etiology, and interventions for children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Specifically, it describes all recent developments based on the DSM-5 and DSM-5-TR regarding diagnostic criteria, as well as recent research data related to the etiological background and the effective methods developed to address the difficulties arising from ASD.

Due to the challenges faced by children and adolescents with ASD in the area of social communication, the fundamental principles in the field of therapeutic interventions are developed, including, among other things, modern research data in the area of early intervention, family support, pandemic management, sexual education, the use of augmentative alternative communication, and alternative interventions such as music therapy.

Additionally, it refers to the school context and the issues that may arise, proposing modern ways of addressing them. Finally, practical examples of implementing interventions are provided that will assist in the information, education, and awareness of parents, educators, psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, students, and any other interested parties with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life for children with ASD.

The authors of the volume include distinguished members from universities and research institutions such as Frederick University and the University of Crete.
