The Maxxis Assegai bicycle tire is designed for downhill and freeride riding, with a tread that combines features from the Maxxis Minion DHF, Minion DHR II, HighRoller, and Shorty. The center tread offers rolling performance on hard surfaces and grip on wet roots and rocks, while the side knobs support cornering and the taller tread enhances traction on deep terrain. The 3C MaxxGrip compound features three rubber compounds, with a softer compound on the side knobs.
The WT construction optimizes the tire’s shape and tread layout for wider rims, while the dual-ply casing has two fabric layers, four in the sidewalls, and six in the tread. It is Tubeless Ready and compatible with e-bikes up to 25 km/h.
