Onyx8 Preamps & Mix Agent Technology

The DLZ Creator features 4 Onyx8 microphone preamps, delivering up to 80 dB of gain and allowing demanding dynamic microphones to be used directly without external signal boosters. The built-in Mix Agent technology acts as a digital audio assistant, guiding users through setting the right gain for each microphone, enabling +48V Phantom Power and adjusting the headphone mix. In addition, the Auto-Mixer automatically manages the levels of all 4 microphones, preventing voices from overlapping during discussions.

Customizable 10.1-Inch Display & User Functions

The central 10.1-inch color touchscreen provides an instant graphical overview of routing, waveforms, and processing parameters. The user interface offers 3 different operating levels (Control Modes): Easy mode for beginners, with simplified controls; Enhanced mode, which adds extra EQ and effects parameters; and Pro mode, which provides full access to all DSP processor settings and standalone routing.

DSP Processor, APHEX Effects & Sample Pads

The signal processing section is powered by an internal DSP unit featuring a parametric equalizer, compressor, noise gate, de-esser, and specialized APHEX algorithms (Aural Exciter and Big Bottom) to enhance vocal clarity and low frequencies. The control surface features 6 illuminated sample pads with 4 accessible banks (24 audio slots in total) for instantly playing musical cues, jingles, sound effects, or triggering mixing commands.

Multitrack Recording, USB Interface & Bluetooth 5.0

The console offers autonomous multitrack recording of 14 tracks to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards or external USB Flash/SSD storage devices in 24-bit / 48kHz quality. At the same time, the USB-C port allows it to function as a bidirectional USB Audio Interface (14 In / 4 Out) for connection to a PC or Mac. The built-in Bluetooth 5.0 module and analog Aux input allow portable devices to be connected for phone interviews, with automatic Mix-Minus functionality to prevent the caller from hearing an echo.
