Description

1st edition: May 2023

The Freemasons and aliens, the Nephilim and the pilots of planes that spray us, the assassins of Kennedy and the Jewish Bolshevik Wise Men of Zion, all implement multiple dark conspiracies against us.

However, there is also an additional relentless global conspiracy, one that imposes on us not to think about what exactly the term Conspiracy Theory means and what the political and social consequences are of the spread of such vaguely defined theories.

The book attempts to read the history of the emergence of various secret conspiracies which were supposed to "explain" the French Revolution; it examines the much more recent creation of the term Conspiracy Theory in the 20th century; and it tries to understand what exactly the term means and what phenomena it encompasses.

Its aim is to reveal how conspiracy theories, contrary to common perception, are actually elements of the dominant ideology. They spontaneously arise from the ideological structure of the modern state and become tools, in the hands of forces that do not secretly conspire, for the overt – and not secret – management of politics within the societies of late capitalism.

Unfortunately, partisan discourse is unreliable from the outset. And here, it is obvious that the author seeks not to present a phenomenon but to define it according to his own particular perspective. The "neo-Marxist" discourse in general. Whoever is looking for something like this should read it because it is well-written and easy to read.
For everyone else, there is plenty of material out there. A good starting point is the books by Pierre-André Taguieff. Admittedly, they are more "difficult," but they are reference books for the subject.
P.S.: Although the author has milked Taguieff's material, he avoids mentioning him like the devil avoids holy water—if I remember correctly, he does so once or twice towards the end.

the author's purpose is more to make anti-Greek propaganda or anti-far-right rhetoric... rather than really deal with the subject of the book

excellent book, it makes you see conspiracy theories in a different light, scientifically and with documentation.
