I wonder why I used classic plastic ice cube trays for so many years. The ice cubes come out incredibly easily—not just easily. When you fill them, there’s no spray of water like with the plastic ones. The plastic smelled at first, so I washed them with detergent and vinegar. Since then, I haven’t given it another thought, nor do I sit there smelling the ice cubes before putting them in my Freddo and drinks. In any case, even if they do have a smell, it doesn’t transfer to the liquids they’re put in. Give me a break...

After almost a year and a bit, it started to smell like plastic and the smell won't go away no matter what. Even simple ice trays from the supermarket in the same freezer are just fine, and I don't have any foods with odors in the freezer.
