    Players compete to dominate medieval France.

    +Original core mechanism. You gather followers of various professions and randomly draw some of them from your bag each round (bag builder). The followers you draw determine the actions you can take.
    +Beautiful and high-quality components.
    +There are many rules, but they are relatively simple. It is not a game for a completely new player.
    +Sufficient depth and variety of strategies.
    +It is satisfying to find combos between actions/buildings and execute them effectively.

    -The initial setup of the game is almost static and leads to repetitive initial moves.
    -The replayability of the game is mediocre without any expansion.
    -Long duration, around 2 hours.
    -Time-consuming setup.

    Incredible game! The best board game in our collection at the moment. It can be easily played even by the youngest member of the family who is 8 years old. It lasts about 2 hours with 4 people. Perfect!

    *edit 12/01/2020 The game is no longer the best in our collection as it has been replaced by Great Western Trail and Viticulture Essential Edition in the top positions, but it still remains a solid choice!
