The new series from Edilingua, designed in collaboration with Smack from Milan, aims to present the world of Italian culture through the most important and well-known figures both domestically and abroad. The series is aimed at B1-B2 level students of the Common European Framework who are studying the Italian language as L2/LS and includes the following volumes: Art, Dante, Literature, Cinema, Fashion and Design.

This particular volume is dedicated to Dante, as, despite the fact that 700 years have passed since his death, his relevance is impressive. It is an innovative book that allows readers to get to know Dante Alighieri and his Comedy without having to engage with the poem itself! A graphic novel, specially created by recognizable designers, presents students with the key points of Dante's life, connected to his work: three illustrated episodes and an interview with Dante, complemented by activities conducted in collaboration with the University for Foreigners of Siena. This is the ideal method for B1+ level students to approach the father of the Italian language and literature.

The other volumes in the series are dedicated to four Italian heroes, who have excelled in their field and are also well known abroad. For each character, a brief biography is presented within the relevant historical context, followed by an in-depth analysis of the main aspects of their thought or a work of theirs. The volume contains the activity locks and can also be used for self-study.
