Since 1929, this translation into Greek of the fundamental "Ritual of High Magic" by ELIPHAS LEVI has awaited publication. Many friends, lovers of Knowledge, especially after the release of the "Dogma of High Magic" by the same author, persistently sought for the publication of his other works, particularly the famous and classical "Ritual." The Translator, however, hesitated to bring it to light, although translations of it have circulated in almost all the languages of the civilized world for many decades. We are hesitant, not because of the hidden real value of the work, but because of the apparent, impressive formulation of truths under the experimental prism and especially with the misleading persuasiveness of the author. The untrained researcher, reading the misleading phrases of the Ritual of Eliphas Levi, might mistakenly think that the magical Ritual resembles a book of laboratory exercises in Physics or Chemistry and that the unveiled aspects of Initiation are akin to metaphysical or spiritualistic experiments.
