The writings of Eliphas Levi on the Science of the ancient Magi constitute a complete system of teaching, divided into three degrees. The first degree includes the "Dogma and Ritual of High Magic"; the second degree is represented by the "History of Magic", and the third by the "Key of the Great Secrets".

The first work presents the theory of high Science, the second its realization, and the third its application in its various expressions. Each of these works appears as a complete and independent study. The entire trilogy is based on the science of numbers.
