The present book is a collective work aimed at highlighting the interaction between sustainable economic development and the provision of quality education, primarily from the perspective of the Greek reality.

The main future goal and focus of the research and analysis in this work is "sustainability." The contributors to the project, based on reliable international parameters as well as historical studies of development and economic issues (such as industrial revolutions, methods of approaching human resources, the development of social entrepreneurship), aim to clarify the role of higher —and not only— education in achieving a sustainable and self-reinforcing economic reality.

Within the research framework, there remain issues that are currently a challenge, such as periods of crisis, with the Covid-19 pandemic being a notable example, the suspension of school and university operations, the phenomenon of graduate emigration, university autonomy, etc., without, however, being treated as insurmountable obstacles, but rather as opportunities for the emergence and application of new practices.

Education, entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development are fields that are inherently independent and at the same time interconnected, leading the reader —student, scientist, professional in the field— to interesting conclusions and fruitful reflections.
